I'm in the process of packing my collection up to move, and Hexatron's right arm just fell off at the bicep swivel. He's just been sitting untouched on a shelf for 3 years, so I have no idea what happened. The screws seem super tight so I can't really disassemble the shoulder at the moment to see if he's at all repairable, but I'm pretty annoyed.

So I'm wondering how this has held in modern day. Articulation transformation, plastic quality and whatnot. Considering picking this up, especially at it's current price

    Ehhh.

His plastic/quality is good and could scale with a deluxe sized collection if you have one.

However he isn’t super accurate to anything (in all modes) and he’s filled to the Brim with Cassy Sark’s vents/parallel lines.

Personally I still love this figure. It's a gorgeous redesign and is good quality. Get it!

He is pretty interesting in terms of engineering. Theres actually a lot of fan modes u can get him into if you use your imagination. Its a ton of fun to handle. Transforming him is easy and he is really durable. Never had a paint chip on mine. But the design is obviously not very indicative of sixshot. In the end, i replaced mine with Gcreation fuuma because i wanted something that looks more updated to modern IDW aesthetic. Personally, Hexatron looks outdated. He has the CHUG aesthetic from the 2000s, which i feel is not as refined as the more updated CHUG designs.

Articulation, average at best. Mediocre for a toy of his size today.

Transformation is basic and straight forward but I was never fond of the waist doodads.

Plastic quality is fine, he has a lot of pom from what I recall and the ratchets were all good on my copy when handling a year or so back.

Eh I still wouldn't recommend him anyway. He's kinda fucking ugly due to the sarkness of the sculpt and proportions, and those awful inner leg panels still drive me nuts.

Depressingly I don't care for any other Sixshot we've had to date either, they all have their major problems or big fuckups. Poor Six seems to be cursed to never get a great toy.

So I just took a look at reviews, and read recent posts, and the arm movement and ankle articulation killed me. Sorry guys, I'm moving on, sorry for bumping the thread. No etheless thanks for the opinions, which also told me the articulation was pretty bad.

I love Sixshot and I own this mold and I can't recommend it, if you have already made you decision then my advice won't matter but I'd find something else to spend my money on if I were you.

My hot take: Terminus Hexatron looks WAY better than the classic, orthodox G1 Sixshot design. Boxy hunk of yuck.

    Fuuma is quite lovely though.

Tradeoff is that Fuuma doesn't handle nearly as well. Especially with how weirdly finicky his leg transformation mechanisms are.

Hexatron's aesthetics are dated, but I still think he's somehow the most cleanly functional of all the modern Sixshot updates.

I just got terminus hexatron, and I love him. However, are the reprolabels for him worth it, and what's the best upgrade parts for him? And how can I get him to hold his blasters good? They twist and fall out if i bump the figure in any way.

I have him with Reprolabels and I really like them. I don't feel like he needs any upgrades...

I completely thought this figure had vanished when I moved into our house back in 2019. Surprise surprise he was in a box all complete! Still a fun guy. I did notice his right knee joint is getting tighter in the ratchet though. He’s an old man but still hanging in there!

I have mine sitting in a box in the closet, mostly because I haven’t had anyone to display him with. But with the arrival of Tarn and Megatron, he’s coming out again.
