Cool, thanks for the full thorough and honest update.
Anime-Export have always done right by me, ever since I ordered Encore 23 Fortress Maximus from them, back in the day! Glad to hear they are still as dependable as ever.

That sucks! I was about to refer you to amiami but she's all sold out now! First time an MP to sell out that fast.

Try this if they'll ship to Russia.

No problem. I've read bad stories about Anime Export here (which aren't too frequent) but I never had problems with them, but I'm also not afraid to pick up a phone and call a company. They can be bad or slow at replying to emails sometimes, that's for sure.

Thanks! Sadly I think it's going to be the same issue from anywhere based in Japan, she's still available at HLJ too, but there aren't many shipping options from Japan to Russia.

Have you tried the chinese stores? I've had good experience with both Showz and Baba the last few years. Both have stock and looks like they will ship to Russia.

    Baba 150 USD shipped (slowish).

    TFS-Express is $120 plus $68 for delivery.

Omegalock is £115 plus £15 delivery to Ireland. They don't deliver to Russia.

Thought I might as well cost them for you.

Baba might be the option then, do they have their own site? When I checked ShowZ last night she was out of stock, but that's great she's back up now!

Thanks, appreciate that! I think I might have to pay import tax if I order something from the UK to Ireland now, though? Not actually sure if Ireland is exempt or not, need to look into that! I know between the UK and other EU countries there's been taxes both ways.

You would, yes. Not sure if Omegalock can legitimately "uncharge" the UK vat. They should be able to, in fairness, as the supply is abroad. I didn't check on their cart whether it took the vat off the 115 or not.

There's no customs duty (under 135 quid), just the vat side.

UK companies should have been able to zero the UK VAT when exporting outside the EU since forever - just a matter of paperwork. But as I found after moving to Norway and wanting to buy things from UK still, a few do, most couldn't be bothered, so I'd often pay VAT twice - yipee! With Brexit all UK companies exporting need to get their act together in this regard, but I expect it'll take a bit of time so I wouldn't expect companies who didn't do it before to have changed overnight.

I don’t think any of them want to unnecessarily lose business from EU customers (I do wonder what tfs-express UK/omegalock - which operates more like a Chinese e-tailer - is going to do).

Back on topic, I am absolutely smitten with this MP.

That's the same story as the report on that BBC website earlier about the French handbag, or whatever. If French price includes French vat, then it should reduce before selling, and then add UK vat on top. If not that's the French retailers fault.

Amazon Japan includes 10% sales tax. Guess what? You price reduces once you ship outside Japan! Then you get hit with the projection of import fees for your own country... big evil or not, they're doing it correctly, and have been for a while.

I just imported an iPod from the US to the UK using a 3rd party exporter. The exporter charged me £44 import tax, plus a £12 handling fee. A couple of days ago I got a refund of 70 odd dollars back from the exporter. Pretty much the exact amount of tax and handling fee I paid. I was like WTF?!? I wasn't expecting that at all. I wonder if it had something to do with what you're talking about above? I was fearful that brexit would make importing from Japan too expensive, but if we get VAT off at the other end maybes not? Having looked at Amazon Japan prices though they're still pretty horrendous for the UK.
The iPod including shipping from the US in the end cost me £50 less than if I had bought it in the UK in the end. I'm having Milo Minderbender ideas about becoming an apple importer.

Just got my Arcee from TFSource today. Didn't have time to open it before I had to go to work though.

42D7A0B7-7CE5-47AE-A6DB-88361403B1B2.jpeg What an absolutely glorious figure. I only had a couple minutes to check it out out of the box but I look forward to exploring action poses, faces, and accessories. Plus I want to check out the transformation again.

I’m blown away by the quality! The plastic is solid and the shine is great. My last official MP figure was Hound so you can imagine how impressed I am by this one, they must have been trying a new plastic for Hound or something.

Gun blast effects are equally useless and welcome, when I’m not using them they take up space but when I am using them they make the display so much better. I’m pretty happy more and more figures include them.

Does anyone have recommendations and links to good stands for it?

Getting real sick of all the gross Arcee photos (be they official or unofficial). But I suppose if you can't beat them, join them...
