Took the kids to Dave & Buster's, and they had a Rampage game I had never seen before, modeled after the recent movie but retaining the classic destructive gameplay. My kids absolutely loved it, so I've been trying to find a Rampage game available on Switch or IOS for them to play, but no luck so far. I figured at least Rampage World Tour would be on Nintendo eShop or something.

Naturally, I gravitated towards the "World's Biggest Pac-Man Game", which also had Galaga playable on a HUGE display. I did pretty well at Galaga after not playing it for a while. I perfected 3 out of 4 Challenging Stages and got to around level 23 before I lost my doubleship and got beaten pretty quick after that. My score was around 170,000, but that was peanuts compared to the high score on it, somewhere around 750,000

Yesterday I hacked my Playstation TV, now I can finally play Final Fantasy VII - Crisis Core. Probably could've played it on my pc a long time ago, but I don't play on my TV anymore. Being able to play it in my bedroom is much nicer. Overall the device makes more sense hacked, it gets features it should've had from the start.

I pulled out my old game collection and have a question. I have a copy of the mask for snes, but the label doesnt match any labels on ebay or online. Any idea where i could go online to check out cartridge variants?

You can try VGCollect.com. I use it to keep track of my collection and they list just about every variant in their database.

I assume you’re talking about the US release of The Mask? I checked myself, and there’s only one listing for the game released in the US for SNES. If it’s from another country, that could explain the difference. Did you buy it yourself from retail?

Ya def some pure classics in that lot there!

looking at the NTSC, PAL and Jap releases of the Mask, it seems like it does not match any real official release lol.

I’m looking at your pic and it looks like a reproduction label of some sort as its missing all of the other tags normally on a game, rating, "Super Nintendo" text and logo, the Nintendo seal, its region version type, that 4 button dot logo etc...

The closest one I saw was here, which appears to be the NTSC-J version but marked as the PAL version.
    MASK (PAL) для Super Nintendo(SNES)

This looks like the actual PAL copy
Buy THE MASK SNES PAL-EUR LOOSE - Game 77724 - Trader Games- Shop & Play Retrogames , avants-premières and goodies.

After looking a little deeper, this game looks to be a bit of a rare/uncommon game. Plug her in and see what comes up! Could be worth more than your average game even though the label is gone.

Definitely a home made sticker. Did they cut the the front cover of the manual and glue it on maybe? It has half a Super Nintendo logo lol

They should have made stickers of some of their game covers. I remember I peeled the sticker off my Metroid II cartridge because it looked so cool. But after peeling off it didn't anymore. Why the fuck did I do that? One of the few stupid things I did as a kid.

Been slowly chipping away at playing Perfect Dark for the first time since it was new, got to admit that in retrospect I don't think Rare was particularly good at FPS level design. It's less of a problem with Goldeneye since they had the movie/IRL to base stuff on and the levels are generally shorter, but some of the stages in PD aren't intuitive at all and are hindered even more by having a ton of identical branching corridors.

That's not to deny that it's technically impressive or that it's still a pretty good game, but it'd definitely benefit allot from some level mods if it ever finds its way to PC.

Do you think the original Gameboy will still function in 50 yeara from now?

I got thinking newer systems will be completely useless in 50 years, as they require internet and services and internal parts like SSD drives that I just dont think will function in 25 years. Let alone 50.

Older gaming systems should work. But will TVs that they will work on be around that long?

The Gameboy is its own little device that only needs batteries ( which will most definitely be around for quite some time (until everything goes to built in recharging batteries which is quickly happening)

But i guess im wondering if there are any components in the gameboy that will naturally die if kept unused in normal storage

Been meaning to play Deep Fear for years and just started today, feels like i've just injected 1998 Japanese console games into my veins.

Gameplay feels more jank then RE, but I was surprised at how big budget it seems. Quite a bit of decent looking (for the time) CGI FMV, high quality backgrounds and audio design by Kenji Kawai of all people.

Good gawd the voice acting though, deep into RE1/SOTN territory and then some. I'm pretty certain the main character is voiced by the same guy as the original Wesker but working under different names.
