Fanstoys has a clear supply problem. They are printing money right now as they can't keep up with demand.

Wait a week or 2. Most of the sites will have pre-order cancels/non-paid invoices and put those ones up first come first serve after they ship out the order that are paid.

    This statements contradicts itself.

If they constantly sell out of everything they produce, that is not necessarily a problem from their perspective. In an industry that relies on constantly revolving product, you don't want to be left with unsold goods.

As long as they make enough money on each product to meet their goals, lost potential is not necessarily a problem.

I can't even necessarily say that there's a supply problem for consumers. If you preorder when they drop, you can secure a copy. You just can't casually wait to place a pre-order. But this isn't unique to FT. Lots of collector companies will produce limited numbers of their products, and you have to make sure you get an order in right away.

Oh they are making money but if you can only make 100 of something and it sells out in 2 minutes, you will feel a bit sick knowing you could have sold 1,000 just as easily but you didn't have enough supply. BBTS sells out very quickly on their preorders.

Definitely not a supply problem. Its a business strategy. Try to buy a pair of Jordans next time and let me know if you think they also have the same problem

Yea, I guess they could be scalping their own products and putting them on Ebay. Honestly, as dirty as that is, and maybe illegal, it's not unlike what the Debeers company does with diamonds. Inflating the value by artificially creating rarity.

Nobody knows exactly how many they sell on their regular runs but I can tell you every time they do a reissue it sits warming the shelves. Maybe they just know their market?

Their reissues do not sit on shelves. They sell out quickly as well. Of course, that all depends on the figure. People have been clamoring for their insecticons reissue for years now, including myself. I missed out the first time. Roadking is one that sells out quickly every time he has been released. Phoenix goes quickly. Sovereign goes quickly. Quietus goes quickly. That is inarguable.

Not at the price he wants.

It's all about price in the end. FT should supply the market with as much supply at price X. If later on they sit on shelves gathering dust, it's FT's problem ;)

Bow to the might of American consumers!!!

Seriously though, FT should just do a crowdfunding from time to time to make everyone happy.

well we've learned you gotta just suck it up and pay the bs prices or you wont get the figure, FT doesnt seem to give a shit and retailers are getting in on it too. I honestly considered getting out of this hobby the other day (clearly not for pricing reasons lmao) when I started buying mandalorian hot toys but I will probably just regret it. I will probably sell some of the hot toys since some if not most of those are more like an investment.

Deadend pics would be nice but I doubt we will see anything till after Spindrift 2.0, or heck they might not give a shit about us anymore and we have to just keep finding out stuff is being released from retailers.

you could get him on showz yesterday and baba a few days ago.

FT prices go up so quickly , you can still get a lot of figures but the best time to get them is to pre order them or as soon as they release. It's not that new of a thing to have to jump on figures asap, it sucks of course.

At a jacked up price. That's not how shelf-warming works. If a figure shelf warms then it sits around at the regular price and then the price will be slashed to get rid of it. The FT reissue preorders, on the other hand, sold out almost instantly at their regular price and now there's a small amount of stock left that they want to sell at a higher price, because they know someone will pay it eventually.
