I love Michael Bay's Optimus Prime the best. He's so willing to do anything for his human pets.

    Best OP ever!!!

Yes! Call me greedy, but I want my figures to look amazing AND to be fun to pose and transform.

I agree, but it did have as many lows as it did highs; DaCosta run, second half of MTMTE, Lost Light run, were pretty bad but LTOTW, Chaos Theory, Barber's Onyx Prime twist were also outstanding.

Agreed with about the Wreckers. But Optimus? This has been the defining Optimus for me, particularly his portrayal in his own book. It was very nuanced in my opinion.

I also feel like the universe felt lived in. Transformers were our focal point, but ROM was another equally valid one. The universe felt big and we were just seeing a small section of it. I liked that a lot.

Agreed on all fronts, but one. At the time I didn’t like the Costa run, BUT parts of it in retrospect I do in fact enjoy. That does not excuse his unprofessional comments at the time though.

Yeah usually as a rule doing “anything” is hardly ever a good sign in a leader or anyone for that matter.

Isn't he due for release around the beginning of February in the UK?

I know...every day I keep hoping PSX sends me shipping notice for him. I cannot wait to add him to my shelf of Primes.

You need to have a sign on top of the shelf saying "This is what hell looks like to a Decepticon," maybe written in blood, or thematically oil might be more appropriate.

There's no arguing here from me. I feel like even since the beginning, Optimus's story in IDW-Verse 1 was an excellent deconstruction of the character from start to finish; the only virtuous "Prime" in history of corrupt leaders who never lived up to the idea they're supposed to represent. Whereas Megatron was the reconstruction of the character as the hero he wanted to be in the end. I know we've already gotten Tyrantron from MMC, but I wouldn't mind a more Milne Accurate version with his never-truly seen tank mode and not the flying cannon barrel/drill.

I finally pulled the preorder trigger for this figure!

    Totally agree with you.

While I love Tyranatron, I think a Stormbringer Megatron would be better. This way it would be distinct enough from Tyranatron to make those with Tyranatron less hesitate to buy another of the same character. Also it can have the hyper articulation to match MMC Optus and have a tank mode!

I don't know whether to beg for Mentis sooner or beg MMC to give me a little break. They've been on fire this last year!

I love you for this. Could you perhaps get a pic of these two and Senator Ratbat too? Curious how he'd scale if they did retool him into Senator Shockwave.
