Quick question for others who’ve already got their Leviathan.

I think the right leg (left side of the pic) might be misassembled. I can’t fully close the shin cover because the last segment of the tail winds up on the inside of the leg instead of the outside. Is this a universal thing?

Miraculously there’s no issue snapping the tail together in alt mode, and I can fudge the bot leg, but am thinking of requesting a replacement part.

Anyone else notice the same issue?

 

They don’t look misassembled. The best way to stuff the tail in the shins are as per the photos below. On the right shin, you can fold the tail end almost flat against the inside of the shin, on the left, it needs to be rotated just slightly, then it should all fit. It just needs some finagling!

 

That was fast - Thanks! It looks like yours is the same as mine. It feels like it should sit a little more flush than it does, but works just well enough to fly under my OCD radar.

 

Yeah, because of how they work, those end fins aren’t completely symmetrical, so the fit is different in each shin.

As long as they compress enough so that the shin flaps have room to closeand the silver shinpads peg in, I’m happy!

 

Blot really looks out of place in this group of monsters.

I should probably rebuy Unique Toys Blot.

 

The gun also posts into the the holes on the sides of his sloth arms.

Sorry if this was already posted, but you can totally stabilize the alt mode legs by flipping down the side panels. You lose mobility but it works！

 

I missed a very sloppy bit of paint application until now. I think I was just so pleased with Leviathan (especially compared to Mammon), that I just overlooked it. Normally a little blemish here or there I can overlook, but the pink on the crotch is just so... crap (there's no other word for it), that I can't ignore it anymore.


Is it worth trying to get a replacement piece, do you reckon (as I've had trouble getting parts from TFC in the past), or just trying to paint it myself?

 

The red really does look cheap to me too - I painted over it with some metallic red for both Mammon and Leviathan. I put up pics of the trio in bot mode a page or so ago if you want to see how it looks.

Thanks - I used GX Metal Red (GX202) from Mr. Hobby. I’m in Japan so not sure if it’s available where you are. But I think any acrylic metallic red will look much better than the thin matte they used.

 

I still think TFC rushed on Blot and Rippersnapper, to make fast Money.
Their Heads look so unfinished, almost like an Prototype. Why give SinnerTwin a Silver Face Paint, but not on Blot and RipperSnapper.

I am still thinking about Painting the Face Silver with Acryl Colors.

I also remember that I saw a Picture in this Thread, where RipperSnapper was Displayed with a Yellow Face at a Convention Display. Really would like to know why TFC decided against that Color Scheme.

 

Just got this guy from ShowZ, and while he's an awesome looking bot, I do think he's the weakest one so far, mainly due to the lack of articulation in beast mode. If they'd just given his head some articulation, an ab-crunch of some sort, or something simple like a wrist swivel... Still, his sculpt is great, just a shame I can't really pose him. Oh, and his tail is dodgy as well.

Also, what's with all the Blot haters? I'll admit I was wasn't blown away with this version at first, and it certainly has it's flaws, but I honestly think it's a worthy interpretation of a dodgy design and looks great with the others. Anyway, different strokes, different Ogre/Troll/Monster folks.

 

The only issue I have with Blot is that yellow just doesn't look good on the claws. A purple color would have looked better I think. I love the sculpt though, he looks very ugly lol.
