I'm hoping a third party will step up with some clip-on door wings for him. This is meant to be animation-accurate, but to me the animation model looks incomplete without the wings. The missile launcher would be nice, as well, but a nice pair of door wings for Jazz would be an insta-buy!

And then of course, if there's a Stepper redeco, the wings can be reissued in his colors.

It's animation-accurate, so that's already a given.

 

I think simplicity is how he succeeds. There's little compromise in either mode and he looks great. He's MP-lite. If he was more intricate or had gimmicks, I think he'd fail because they did so much pointless crap to him at that point.

I'm glad he is the way he is.

Hasbro fucked up the number 4 on this Jazz toy. First, the number 80 on Earthrise Smokescreen, and now this! WTF?

 

From the pictures it does look cheap. My eyes went straight to the hollow parts. I would've preferred they made Jazz a deluxe+ like with Hot Rod. I'd rather pay an extra $10 for them to get it mostly right then having to spend an extra $15-20 on 3D printed parts to make it not be an eye sore.

 

This. Aside from a few big missteps here and there Hasbro has been dishing out pretty good molds lately.

If Takara could turn POTP rejects into Siege (of course, with the aid of Hasbro after they completed work on POTP) and kickstart it into something great, I have no worries for Jazz.

Im pretty excited as this will be my first Jazz. I was prepared to buy RTS but I've been desperately awaiting the reveal of SS86, and just based off the one picture we've got so far, I'm pretty sure SS will be where I get my CHUG Jazz.

 

This Jazz isn't for me (I'm fine with RTS Jazz), but with the exception of deco (Easily remedied with some Toyhax) he seems to hit all the right notes, so I hope people enjoy him.

POTP Jazz was legitimately awful looking, IMO.

 

I see that the hands/arms and legs suffer horrible from large gaps.

I'd need better images to really assess him, but for at this moment, with the price increases yet again, I think that I'll just stick to my POTP version.

 

His feet seem to hang off the rear of the car (and make a seemingly oversized bumper).

 

EDIT: On second thought, I'll shut up.

 

Personally, I'm just excited at the prospect of having a go at a new Generations-style Jazz.

RTS Jazz wasn't my cup of tea, and there hasn't been a Jazz since then that's really scratched the itch, or even looked like something I wanted.

So, as long as this thing can hit the extraordinary heights of "adequate", I'll be happy.

 

People are more focus on whats going to be wrong about an upcoming toy instead of the positives? Joy...
The only flaws I can see is the current condition we are in are going to make it harder for people that want Jazz to get one.

 

Luckily he seems to be packed 3 to a case, so no worries with that I hope.

 

The fact that I have to wait until April for him. I want Jazz for giftmas this year, dammit.
