    UPDATE:
A better re-sculpt I did on SS86 Blurr can be found here:
    Minor/Repaint: - SS86 Blurr: final facelift

A TR Blurr to SS86 Blurr face transplant can be found here:
Minor/Repaint: - TR Blurr to SS86 Blurr Face transplant

    **********

I find SS86 Blurr’s jawline a bit too long and definitely too broad and square. It just looks too heroic and beefy. I’ve always imagined Blurr to be lithe and almost ... feminine? I think, in their different ways, the face sculpts on the TR, Unique Toys, and Fans Toys versions were right on.

So, like Cyclonus, Kup, and several other bots over the years, I put Blurr under the knife.
    Before (stock photo):

    After:
    1F2FDA4C-5414-473F-9535-1EE943BF302C.jpeg

Not perfect, on account of some of the sculpted detail. And I may go over it all in a light grey. But overall I think I’m on the right track. More delicate, less alpha.

I feel like thats a bit much off?
Honestly kup and blurr need new heads in general as shaving the chin doesnt fix the face sculpt itself

Your mod does help but I don’t think I like this Blurr head at all. I wonder if any previous heads will fit this mold ( if I ever find it)?

Agree, it’s not just the jaw, it’s the entire sculpt. I stopped shaving down when it looked right to me, about even with helmet and with a softer jawline. But I concede it may be too much for some.

I’m considering a full-on face transplant as well, using a junker TR Blurr. The problem is, this head is glued, not screwed, together.

It's a little too much, unfortunately. The proportions on the nose and mouth now accentuate hot little the chin is now.

I do like the smaller chin, and I agree that TR had a great sculpt. Good job.

Maybe post some more pictures from different angles.

Just heat it up with a hairdryer or heat gun and pry it apart with a thin blade or tiny slotted screwdriver or something similar that doesn't break easily.

I really do like the mod that you did, it helps! As many others have mentioned, these two just need better head sculpts.

I always use a small hairdryer so I have no experience with heat guns but the hairdryer totally does the job.

Yes, hairdryer FTW. Just warning about the heat gun because I bought one for toy stuff and it has been completely useless.

On a side note, anyone with the Titans return version, do you think there's a way to bash it so the head stays attached in transformation? Like cutting and hinging a neck plate (Ala g1 prime) to make it flip into his chest?

I don't own either and while I like TRs look, the headmaster thing on non-g1 HMs kills me.

I don't know where I have my TR Arcee and Brainstorm stored right now but as the canopy of the cockpit is right in front of his head, you need make sure that there's enough space to cut the plastic away without cutting off the canopy's hinge.

I had no plans on buying this figure or Kup, but with the mods you’ve done they now look twice as appealing. & you’re correct, Kup’s eyes need paint. I may do the same and apoxie sculpt the chin area after cutting and sanding it. Did you use a dremel? Or just sandpaper? What grit?

    The longer chin is accurate.

The lips are slightly too big, and the nose is too long. Those are throwing it, along with the heavier jawline. Blurr's nose should end well before the side-guards on his helmet. Trim the end of the nose and take a slight bit off the bottom of the lower lip and it should work.

    Cartoon Accurate.

Agree the Blurr head Sucks. The shaved chin is a turd polish, but still an improvement.

The solution for this problem is much simpler.

    Paint the neck white.
