Apparently it was done for tlk, in the same vein as that primal and snake thing. Which makes sense as it's the same style. And like primal and the snake, it's cool for a tlk style reimagine, but not for a bw movie. We're probably too early to be seeing anything from it yet anyway. And wait, is the bw movie 100% confirmed to be happening?

I'll be happy if the bw alt modes look like the 2019 lion king movie. And robot modes keep that disturbing level of realistic animals as robot kibble.

Apparently those concepts are really old, certainly old enough to be firmly Bayverse stuff.

Yeah, I'm usually fussy about my toys being complete, but I really didn't think the big dragon with the giant sword needed a gun.

The new stuff was definitely a slow start, but it's good stuff and the past few months have been fantastic. Brian Ruckley has more experience as a novelist than a comic writer and it shows in the pacing, but I feel the payoff has been worth it. It's become especially noticeable that he's gained confidence with adding to the characterisation of less developed bots like Flamewar, and the results are great. It's definitely the best take on Cybertronian society we've seen since, well, the previous IDW continuity, and the portrayal of Megatron and the Decepticons is both chilling and timely.

Cheers, I was pleasantly suprised when the driver cooled off so quick as his buddy initially seemed to be egging him on to get shitty but sanity prevailed and it didn't escalate into anything worse.

If you could do a pic with other Newage bots and also Magic Square bots that'd be fine thanks.

Just seen it and I'm sure "old concepts" will be covering a multitude of sins here - "Don't worry this was development, the real stuff is now much more evolved...."

But if it's even remotely like what will happen, then fuck that. With fire.

*PHEW!* Let us hope so! Thing is I can totally seen a Hollywood production nonchalantly jettisoning the core conceit of robots disguised as animals in pursuit of their "creative vision".
We all remember the notorious 90s with demented disasters like the Live Action Super Mario Bros. film, and despite Marvel's successes there's still that mindset about, heck, just look at the Flub of WW'84!

Smyths sent a £10 e-voucher for messing me about on my Nemesis Prime order before Xmas just in case anyone else got one (might be an NI shitshow situation!).

    Hello, Lego Technic monster truck...

Whilst my most recent post office receipt shows vat at 0%, we do pay vat on all sorts of services. That's specifically how the EU designed vat 40yrs ago (yes, when it was still the EC).

In the case of imports, the 'supply' is the total cost to get the goods past the point of 'free circulation'. That's not a technical thing for vat specifically, but I say it because you actually pay vat on the customs duty (if any) too. That means the cost of the goods, the postage to get it here, and the customs charge to release to free circulation.

When you are caught between a rock and a hard place...

So an item becomes available at an online retailer where reviews go from excellent to shockingly bad... and its bloody expensive, but no where else to get it (nin nin game).

Youi end up pre ordering but with PayPal and hoping you will be protected... not a situation I like!

Thanks, I never knew that about that Grey Council scene! I think it was a perfect intersection between actor and character that gave her performance a real sense of pathos: as another actor in a different franchise once said, "you can type this shit, but you can't say it".

She could say it. And you'd feel it.

Very interested in those MOTU/WWE figures

Marvel Legends I'd consider the FF but... I dunno, old skool Thing definitely, the rest need to be bringing the weird and wonderful effect pieces otherwise there's not much point.

Whilst idle hands itched, I got this fella down off the shelf again...
    DSC_0047.JPG
Still amongst my favourite results but last time I gave the Aston a spin I realised that his right vent nipple was popping the chest plate squiffy, and jeffing the already tight wheel clearance up front in car mode so I've given it a SUPER-cautious shave-down, and touch up. It'll still wedge a little askew but at least the right front wheel can just about brush the floor now, I'm happy I've at least done my best to get it as minimal as possible while keeping that wee essential (for me) nod to his G1 design.

    Roll on, DOTM Ratchet!

    EDIT:
OOoooooh! A couple of intriguing Alternate Destinies from Wave 2 have dropped in the Gold Disk Card Thread! If ye click thru BEWARE YE SPOILERS!!!
