How come so many have gotten these figures already when BBTS is telling they won’t have them until April?

Some places have them in stock. CMDStore and Dorksidetoys for example.

I don’t think he was that bad. I am very curious how they’re going to pull off a Commander Class Rodimus Prime though. Rodimus shouldn’t be any taller that Optimus so I’m struggling to understand how the trailer warrants Commander instead of Leader.

I´ve just discovered this line and I think I´m a bit late to the party, but:

-Do you know shops shipping from Europe that have them? I´m from Spain and there are no stores with the Generation 86 series :(

-Do we know if Hasbro will complete the movie cast? I know there are other versions of Arcee and Springer under the Transformers generation line, but I´m not sure if Hasbro will release (or it will be worth) new versions?

Its like what Hasbro did years ago with Generations and Hunt For the Decepticons/Reveal The shield stuff. Where it was like a "separate line" but really just an extension of generations to keep retailers buying figures. Putting this under the "Studio Series Line", as far as retailers are concerned its just more "movie" figures which they think will sell a lot connected to a movie, when in reality it was just a way for them to be able to make the rest of the cast that didn't have figures made under the current lines of the WFC trilogy. I doubt we're getting "newer" versions of characters like Arcee and Springer, at best probably just some more of the G1 cast that appeared in the movie (which could be almost any of the original G1 characters as most were killed off early on in the prologue) that didn't yet get a new updated figure in the WFC line.

Let's hope that this is where we'll find a deluxe Brawn (very prominent role in the movie), Windcharger (present but not so prominent), and Gears (because apparently we aren't getting one from Kingdom, but he was at least in the movie, even if it was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it thing).

We can buy generations figures from actionfiguren24 as well as Archonia.
They have lots of other goodies as well.

Simple, have you seen how crappy Optimus' trailer is at the leader price?

True, but Rodimus's trailer (if you can call it that. It reminds me more of a caravanette type thing like you'd see on a motorhome) traditionally has less going on. If it follows the G1 then it's smaller than Optimus's trailer and essentially just turns into a gun platform with a fold-up cannon inside.

I don't intend that as a criticism. I think gun platforms are cool and I hankered after that toy as a kid. If they follow that route with modern engineering, I want to get it! But if Rodimus is voyager sized, would you need titan budget for an upside-down roof thing with a big fold up gun? And that assumes they don't just utilise his hand weapon(s) for the trailer. (I hope not.)

Maybe, but I'd hope not. If the figure was leader sized and everything else scales accordingly, then commander would make sense. Or maybe they're going to do a lot more with the trailer than the G1 scenario.

I hope to get it regardless, but I hope it's value for money.

If I had to rank them I would say...
Hot Rod is the best. He's just so clean looking. I can only complain about the yellow on the roof. Why Hasbro, why??
Jazz is second. A little thick but still nails the character.
Blurr is third. He'd be second in my book if it wasn't for those massive parts on the back of his forearm which were so compact on the TR version.
Kup is sadly fourth for me. So much kibble and the window decor takes too much away from the G1 style

I’m hoping it’s the opposite of everything Optimus Prime’s trailer is. Optimus’s trailer was undersized, unpainted, thin, and flimsy plastic. With Rodimus, they should be looking at correctly scaled, thicker/sturdier plastic, a lot more paint, and the chrome side pipes. Most likely this would have fallen at a $60-70 price class if that was a thing. I’m guessing the rest of the cost will be made up for with accessories/blast effects.

"Hot Rod... if there's even the remotest chance the Matrix reservoir might fall into enemy hands, it has to be destroyed!"
"I know, Grapple... I know. But I can't help wondering... what Optimus Prime would do?"

From The Transformers: Regeneration One Issue #85 ,'Loose Ends, part 5'

    IMG_20210122_172402.jpg

NGL, ER Optimus Prime's included trailer does feel quite barebones and barly justifies the additional $20 price bump to Leader Class. The OP figure itself is not too bad, but the trailer lacks paint, too small to fit most ER deluxe figures, only does the barest minimum when it comes to features and it's undoubtful the weak link of the entire package of ER Optimus Prime; Especially when you consider that SS-44 DOTM Optimus Prime also features more weapons and a trailer that can at least transforms into both a weapon storage rack and a jetpack for Optimus, ER Optimus's trailer seems very phoned in by comparison.

It's not unusual to have people purchasing all sorts of upgrade kits, add-on parts, different 3P trailers, or even customize the trailer themselves with some paint and junker parts they have lying around just to improve their ER Optimus's trailer; If people are fine to spend more money just to give ER Optimus a full-fledged trailer, then pricing a Kingdom Rodimus Prime at the Commander pricepoint in the flavour of a more feature-packed trailer/battle platform isn't much of a stretch. In fact, I do think that's what most would prefer over purchasing all sorts of 3P upgrade/add-on kits just to make a bare-bones trailer better.

Given that HasTak decides to give the Commander class price point to Rodimus Prime (And both Siege Jetfire and ER SKy-Lynx ae considered one of the best figures of their respective lines), it's highly likely that "Kingdom Rodimus Prime" has a lot more going on than ER Optimus Prime... I could see HasTak did any of these to warrant the price point:
    • Makes the Rodimus Prime figure itself be bigger, better painted and more complete than ER Optimus itself.
    • Make Rodimus Prime's trailer did a lot more, better painting to looks more complete than ER Optimus's trailer, and big enough to actually capable to store most Deluxe-class figures.
    • Includes additional weapons, effect parts and accesories for Rodimus Prime.

I took mine off almost immediately. Can’t wait for someone to make a clear replacement.

I almost wonder if Rodimus Prime will be the first commander class at a $60 or $70 price point, rather than $80. Unless there's some new add-on trailer to make like a super mode, like Shockwave and Astrotrain, or maybe a ton of guns/blast effects, I'm still not clear how there's as much value there as there was with Jetfire and Sky Lynx!

honestly hope they don’t make him bigger than Optimus Prime. Everything else would be fine. But they’ve done a great job of sticking to scale with most of these figures and I’ve been wanting an actually good, modern, and in scale Rodimus Prime.

    Well from everything we've heard

Rodimus Prime will have a working "car" mode without the "trailer"
he should be roughly Optimus Prime height
    he comes with blast effects
    he comes with guns
    he comes with a matrix
    he comew with a sword
his trailer turns into the battle platform and also works as a sort of base mode

Sword?!?!? Did I miss something in the movie/season 3 cartoons? Don't get me wrong, more accessories the better, but a sword? I could see a Daniel/Hoverboard figure, fishing rod, squished bug head...but a sword?
