I, for one, am ready for Galavar's Travels! I was worried there for a minute, but that preview has put my mind at ease.
If I wasn’t already excited for this before, this would definitely do it. I love it. I’d be nice if they gave Under-3 a real name, but that’s asking for too much. I can’t wait!!
It's in the same spot as the names for the other McDonald's figures. If you mean how do we know the comic character's name, the guy Terrorsaur was chasing appears to be based on the Botcon 2016 update to Under 3
IIRC it was a thing McDonalds used to do where they'd offer toys for kids under the age of 3. The character had no identifying information on him except for "Under 3", amusingly according to concept art it seems that toy may have been designed to be Optimus Prime at some point.
Also the more I see of this comic the more I like it, bring it on! Are those statues of Wheeljack in the research center?
Actually, it is Wheeljack permanently frozen by the Immobilizer and repurposed as his own memorial statue. Edit: The second statue partly blocked by the guy in the foreground was made before the repurposing was decided upon.
Man, this is hyping me up hard. Not ONLY are those three pages hyping me, but the reactions to it are. Yes, I want more Beast Wars to enjoy and to get excited over... But I want a community to be excited and hyped with me! I've been nervous about how split we've been about this. The artstyle, the new characters. I'm hoping that the rest of the book is just as hyped for everyone as these pages, cause if so, we are going to be going through some awesome shit together guys!
Knowing Wheeljack I honestly wouldn't put that past him. Believe me, this is the most hyped I've been for a piece of new Transformers fiction I've been in years. Compared to the ocassionally entertaining but ultimately still slow and plodding IDW2 continuity, the lack of budget of Cyberverse, and the lack of giving a damn of the WFC trilogy, this looks to be one big breath of fresh air. February cannot possibly come fast enough.
They teased us with the council being red/black and then pulled back to reveal it's a hologram and thus could mean they're closer to the toy colors. Also, GIVE ME TOYS OF THESE PRE BEAST ALTS!
"Galavar," huh? Wonder if all the characters will have pre-beast Cybertronian names. One the one hand, it seems strange that they'd change their names just because they get a new alt mode. ...On the other hand, their names would be much too coincidental if they already had them before getting beast modes. Maybe I shouldn't overthink Transformers fiction too much. I always liked the idea that Megatron took his name by choice, though, since he wanted to follow in his predecessor's footsteps and lead his people back to glory, etc... and because he had enough of an ego to name himself after the most famous Decepticon leader in history.
