It’s an early design from the last knight. The beast wars movie isn’t even in preproduction. It’s nothing but a script floating around somewhere. This is an OLD design.

On this, I absolutely disagree. It's a great reflection on people's character.

Looks... ok, reminds me to Beast Machines Rattrap, same ugly and horrible face as the preliminar designs from the Bay movie, do not get me wrong, I like the movies, but the faces are not good at all...

Also, let's not forget these early concept pieces:

That is completely horrible. Get someone else to do the movie. Maybe sell the franchise to Disney.

And that's pretty close to how they ended up.

That Ratchet concept looks way better than the final product ngl, that arm cannon on Prime is also pretty cool looking.

For years people gave 'geewunners' flack for calling the Bay designs terrible, that they were incapable of accepting change or letting go of their nostalgia and all that stuff. Now a light is being shed on older, not new, still visually striking and impressive concept art for Cheetor from Beast Wars and so many people are just dismissing it, calling it terrible and shit, just because it doesn't quite look like the Cheetor we all know and love.

Just... bruh. So many arguments have just been thoroughly gutted in the span of a few hours.

In the first picture, sure, but Ratchet has a completely different color scheme and Bumblebee lacks his now iconic door wings. The concept art for Megatron looks completely different than what we got and it was created five months prior to the more final looking designs from the first picture. It just goes to show how drastically design aesthetics can change.

Finally, people are no longer considering my boy's Beast Machine design as the worst Cheetor design. Thank you unused concept model.

Question, even given that these are older spec designs. Why would you design an animal TF that only vaguely resembles a real Cheetah (perhaps only the silhouette)? I get that TF movie Ravage could be considered a similar case but I didn't get the impression Ravage was trying to approximate a real jaguar or whatever animal it's supposed to be. However, Cheetor is very much attempting to resemble a Cheetah. This ain't it for my money. Anyway, a cool peek at designs we may never have seen otherwise.

It's nice to see a design that barely resembles its namesake again.

Beast Machines had my second favorite Cheetor design (outside of the BW season 1 look).

Occasionally something comes along where the shoe is on the other foot, and you can enjoy a little vindication.

Color change and wings didn't save that design and I think I'd prefer that megatron look to what we got... I may not be their audience though since I haven't seen one of their movie since 3. It'd be nice to get excited about a transformers movie again but I'm not holding my breath.

Gonna say it again for people that aren't reading further back than a few posts, if that, before commenting: these designs are from The Last Knight. The Beast Wars movie isn't even in preproduction. Whatever the Beast Wars movie will look like, it probably won't be this.

Continuing the trend of movie designs looking nothing like the character they're named after.
