Looks like OMP shipped my pre-order. Excited to see this egg guy in person!

 

Did you sent them any emails? Did they answer them?

 

They sent a message asking for me to pay the remaining balance on pre-order(and additional shipping cost ). Then I paid it and emailed them to let them know and said it would go out this coming Friday. Then on Saturday I got an email from DHL that it's shipped. Checked this morning and it's in the DHL facility.

 

Υeh...They are quick to short out the shipping/orders and send the items but not respond to inquiries it seems lately....

 

The same for me. Current status: Dr. Egg has left Singapore.

 

Yeah, I guess it is good that they're fast on shipping. They have such a strange work week, it always seems hit or miss on how fast they will ship it out. Speaking of poor correspondence, never try to cancel an order. I've been trying to cancel an order for the last month and a half because I don't think they'll ever actually get the item.

 

I am on the same boat with a preorder....

 

Given that benscollectables complained heavily about the battery confusion tells you all you need to know about how bad the situation is. He doesn't usually complain about anything, but made it pretty clear that he was frustrated with it. In my book, if you couldn't clear the rather low bar of keeping benscollectables quietly content, you're not in great company.

 

Here's the Charger and 4 Battery combo I purchased from ebay for $12. They work perfectly.

Sorry if this has been asked before (I did a search and NOTHING popped up)...

But does anyone elses Dr. Egg make a CLICKING sound when it rotates from Face to Face?
Did I install something wrong?
Is it off balance???
 

 

It does a double click each time it rotates from face to face when I activate mine. I checked other videos showcasing Dr. Egg, and that seems to be the normal function with all of them.

 

A clicking... or ticking sound...

 

ok. Fair enough. As long as it’s normal.

 

5 weeks to the day and he has finally arrived. I have to pick up some batteries and see how this thing works.



Anyway, he's pretty rad and I really dig the bendy wire tentacles.

I can confirm that they work and fit properly. I have a separate charger for them, which also works so it's unlikely that I'll ever recharge via the figure's port.

As I was installing the new battery, I did notice that my figure's light has some color behavior that I didn't notice before. It appears there are multiple LEDs that light up the stem. I haven't really sorted out a pattern, but it seems like for some faces, there's more than one color; the most glaring is a red and green combination... which is just weird. I went back and looked at some videos and saw the same thing on review samples, but nobody mentions it specifically or if it's even confirmed to be intended design.

 

That's just how you mix RGB LEDs to get colors.
