I have considered that Blitzwing. I hesitate to buy any older figures because I've been spoiled on the G1ness, articulation and scale of the WFC figures. It feels like any figure I buy, I'll be replacing with a better version of that character in the next few years. The only major thing I feel might not get better versions soon are combiners...not sure what I'm going to do to find a nice version to represent them in my collection...

I've tried and tried to like that Perceptor but it's just not G1 enough for my collection. I only know the character from the G1 cartoon(and his cameo in Animated) and that's what I want. Everyone has their own vision for their collection and I haven't seen a Perceptor that fits mine yet...so I'm kinda hoping for him most of all from SS86. Not to mention he deserves to be in this line for having a pretty major role in the movie.

True, the articulation isn't as good as the current stuff. Takara Blitzwing looks pretty G1 as far as I'm concerned; much better than the hasbro one. Same for Perceptor. It works for me until they improve on it

Yeah, the headmaster bit is weird, but other than that he looks the part. It's better than any other alternative that I found

He's a member of one of the main Autobot crews and has dozens of lines of dialogue...way more than Jazz or Blaster and most of the Decepticons for sure.

I exaggerated...sorry. He has many lines and a lot of scenes.
Edit: I meant to say "over a dozen". Which is still an exaggeration. He probably has 9 or 10 lines...still more than a lot of the characters.

Perceptor was in Prime's death scene. That's pretty notable.

    Aw man. Sorry.
Now you're making me feel like I seriously hurt your feelings.
Saying you hate a toy is a bit much, but I didn't mean to make you feel bad.

I personally don't mind them, but I get the need for accuracy and a correct update.

Wow. We'll come back to this in a moment...

    Yeah, this, pretty much.

Okay, the only one in need of growing up around here (based on their actions and interactions) is you. He's hating on a toy (your claims), you're hating on a person (you make it seem like that). See the difference? I'll never understand why people get so defensive over a piece of plastic, but they'll let their fellow man drop dead.

    WTF is up with that?

As long as he's hating on a thing and not you, me, or someone else... What's wrong with that? Why is it so important to you that he (or anyone else) not dislike a toy to the point of hatred for it? Why?

You'll also notice, your post that kick started all of this has no likes, even still. Perhaps that's a clue for you to read the room.

    Anyway, moving on...

Got Grimlock in yesterday and I'm 50/50. On the one hand, he and Wheelie are visually stunning. On the other hand, he feels insignificant as figures this large go. (Very hollow feeling compared to his SS counterpart from AOE. I'm sure his weight is higher than I'm "feeling" but he's definitely lighter than I was expecting.)

His transformation is nice and smooth and I do like how everything has a place to go in either mode. I will say he's better than the Masterpiece by miles. It's amazing what Has/Tak can do at the retail level when they want to. Why they waited until now is beyond me.

Some of us have been waiting DECADES for stuff like this.

While I can mostly agree with what you're putting across I had to address this: Likes don't equate to the quality of a post. I've seen plenty of terrible posts with a ton of likes and seen really well-structured and strong points with not nearly as many. It can signify how popular / unpopular an opinion is but correlation doesn't imply causation and all that.

    Carry on.

Let me say this, buddy: If you really think you're gonna draw me into some pointless argument over some dumb casual remark for which I apologized I'm gonna have to disappoint you.

I really hope they do make a new Perceptor and Blitzwing in this line. Perceptor almost seems like a must since he is important in season 2, movie, and season 3. And Blitzwing could be seen as vital since he has a memorable scene in the movie ("Come on down, Auto-Brat!") and this line is pretty light on options for Decepticons/villains that aren't already provided elsewhere. I still think they could update Shrapnel, Bombshell, and Kickback somewhere also.

Not to mention Perceptor hasn't had a figure since the Titans Return line... and a so-so figure at that IMHO. Anyway, he's due an update.

Just opened Blurr (as the third in the SS '86 line that I now own) and he seems tiny for some reason. He scales with the other figures just fine but for some reason seems like he should be taller... probably just me. I really love these figures.
