honestly, in this day and age, carbots have simple enough transformations that a waist swivel could have been worked in. i understand why it was hard to work in on their phoenix alt mode starscream (although if i'm beig honest they should have figured something out as originally it was to have one), but i'm less understanding here despite the small size. just watched that transformation video and yup...no reason to not put one in except extra cost (i'd be happy to pay $5 more each to have it). anyway i may ge these anyway due to low cost adn relaly good alt modes. wanna ssee the alt modes next to other wfc or chug alt modes though.

oh and as a toy i bet the earthrise ones kill these BUT this is a nice alternative and again i love designers who make decent alt modes a priority. the only reason i haven't arleady ordered yet is i have to get over my hangup about that waist swivel missing. i suspect the low price will be enough to let me excuse it. if they make more in this line though i really hope they include that poitn of articualtion

 

There’s a longer video in the list next to this one. Honestly? I think they’re great - especially at this price point - and will absolutely be buying them soon and hoping for more.

Hmmm... after seeing comparison images with Kingdom Deluxe figure, I'm a bit disappointed these guys aren't bigger. I was hoping for a PROPER deluxe, not the ever-shrinking scale Hasbro is sliding into now.... especially since the proportions of these figures are so sleek and dainty. I am disappoint.

So... they're deluxe-sized? Isn't that pretty much what we were expecting?

I was actually wondering if they were smaller, closer to scout-sized, so I'm fine with this.

Remember that "deluxe sized" is not a stable unit of measurement anymore. The 14cm size listed on the pre-orders indicated they might be good-sized deluxes, though there was some question whether the height measured to the head, or to the top of the kibble. Someone else said something about how they had been originall designed to go with Alternity figures, which would make them larger deluxes.

I dared to hope they might be as large as the older deluxe size, since current deluxes are mostly tiny. But the photo comparing Prowl to Paleotrex suggests they're a bit dainty even by current standards.

I don't really have much use for a Prowl that's no bigger (and maybe smaller) than Earthrise Prowl, unfortunately. 90% of my CHUG-style collection scales larger than that.

Yeah, glad I held off buying. Only potential selling point for me was that they might be taller. But I have the three smaller-than-I-want ER Datsun figures, so there's no point in these. I would have even cut them in half and fashioned a waist swivel myself to fix that little shortfall. But as it stands, they're useless to me.
