echotransformer has some great parts for Uranos.

    Shapeways 3D Printing Marketplace

Alternately you could buy the OS Blackbird (cheap!) for some added height or do a combo of both echo's parts and the OS figure.

The top one is stock feet and the bottom one is the feet that came with the OS Blackbird.

Definitely get a little boost out of that. Are the ports on the OS Blackbird the same size as the ports on the regular one or did the ports get scaled up too?

Sorry for the necrobump, but could someone post a picture of Uranos next to TFM Havoc? I'd like to see if Uranos could be my IDW-ish Superion.

    Thanks a lot!
Didn't expect Uranos to be so much smaller.
A shame really because style wise it could work.

I'm kind of thinking of picking up one of these from Ebay since everyone's moving to Zeta or Fanstoys and I'm more of a CHUG guy. The only thing I've got now is the CW. If I'm mostly a 14" combiner guy, think that 's a decent move? What's a reasonable price? open/displayed is fine if they're in good shape.

Heylo, sorry for thread bump. I’m looking into maybe purchasing one of these, and I have a few questions, if y’all don’t mind.

    1. How have these guys stood up to the test of time? Any notable QC issues that have worsened overtime? Any fixes I might need to perform?

    2. How would you guys say it feels to handle these things? Anything particularly annoying?

    3. Could I get some comparison pictures in individual and combined mode with some modern figures (I.e. WFC & Legacy stuff)?

    4. Finally, would you guys recommend these things, and around what asking prices should I stick to?

    Thanks so much!

My experiences to answer your questions:

1.) They have stood up well, no noticable yellowing on mine, however there were a few fixes I had to perform. Silverbolts hips need stiffened up to suport the Gestalt properly, I used an old credit card and cut out disks to increase tension from the ratchet spring, did the trick and is holding up great. Sand down the wing pegs that hold them to the plane for alt mode for Slingshot and Fireflight, after recieving mine brand new, I pegged the wings in all the way and one of Fireflights broke when transforming. Sanded down the pegs on the others and have had no issues.

2.) They feel about as solid as other 3p figure to me, notibly Toyworld and Generation Toy. In Jet mode they are solid like a brick, in robot mode the kibble starts to get in the way. On Skydive and Airraid the Nose cone on the back likes to flop about as the connection gets loose. Some floor polish helps but it is such as loose joint to begin with. I use the butt flap to essentially hold the nosecones up. the tailfins are also really thin and some have reported stress marks, mine are fine but just be carefull. Also the missles form the upgrade kit can get annoying as the are able to come of of the arms that peg under the wings.

3.) Can provide when I get home. I have some WFC guys and some masterpiece as my collection is a weird hybrid.

4.) I feel $150-175 for the set now a days is a decent price, especially if it has the Wings of Uranos upgrade kit. Anymore and you will start to feel buned as you can get better sets for that price. If you want biger, the Ju Jiang set is really good as that replaced my Uranos as superion, kept Uranos for bot modes as they scale nicely with CHUG in bot mode. I can recomend them as they are fun and really simple to flip backand forth from jet to robot, also helps that the SR-71 is one of my favorite planes, just note that the engineering is now a decade old and it does show compared to newer 3P.

Thanks for all of your help! I’d appreciate some pictures with the WFC guys in all three modes, but whatever works for you works for me. Just one more question: is there a specific guide I can follow to fixing Silverbolt’s hips for the gestalt? I’m new to modding figures and not 100% comfortable with it yet lol.

I didnt really find a guide, I just took the thighs apart and added a couple washers cut from a credit card behind the spring. I remember it being a little of a pain as the spring is already really stiff, and the extra shim made it a little harder to get the leg back together, but it solved my Gestalt issues and I have transformed them multiple times without issue. And Sure, as for WFC I have the Seekers, Reflector, Omega Supreme, Skyfire and a few others but that would give you a voyager, deluxe, comander, and titan reference

Ah, gotcha. Could I just get a picture of the thighs so I know where to access them? Don’t want to ask you to disassemble your copy but I just need a reference lol. And thank you so much for the references, but don’t go to too much trouble!

    First some size pics. 20220614_183525.jpg 20220614_182102.jpg 20220614_181116.jpg

And the scres to access the hip ratchet on silverbolt, have to take the thigh apart to take the hip apart: 20220614_181225.jpg 20220614_181229.jpg
