I put Motor Master in but took him out as made it much heavier and harder to pose. _DSC5187.jpg _DSC5197.jpg _DSC5174.jpg _DSC5182.jpg _DSC5183.jpg

I think if the shins were as long as the car and not 7/8ths(maybe 3/4 tops) that could help the legs not look as stubby. He still looks awesome and the pictures here are making want mine even more.

I think perhaps a change in perspective is required for a lot of people who criticise the toon Menasor design, and particularly XTB's version, as having tiny lower legs, or for being a complete robot that happens to have cars attached to/ hanging off the limbs. I've never understood this.

He's a combiner, which means he is the whole sum of his parts, cars included. It probably seems like I'm pointing out the complete obvious but based on a lot of the criticism I see, maybe it's not so obvious?

It appears to me that a lot of people incorrectly see Menasors legs as this:
    20210118_204205~2.jpg

The correct interpretation is to look at it like so, and suddenly the leg has doubled in thickness:
    20210118_204205~3.jpg

Remember, the detailing on the front of the shins is derived from the original toy cars chests, because despite the appearance of a complete car on the back, the cartoon interprets the whole grey block of the shin as coming from the limb bot, NOT Motormasters own legs or some completed giant robot that the cars attach to.

Yes, in practical terms the figure in hand is a robot with cars attached but in terms of the the figure and the fiction you have to suspend your disbelief a little and see it as now the leg is the whole thing, not just the grey part.

So yeah, that's my contribution for today.

Too be fair I had trouble with every stage of the transformation! At least X-Transbots are faithful to the fiction that every part of it fights against the other! I tried rotating the lower leg but it only goes so far. If that could be overcome some 3D Printed feet would finish it off well. _DSC5199.jpg _DSC5201.jpg _DSC5204.jpg

Im having issues with the legs. Is it just me or are the panels not assembled correctly?

The panels that fold in also have panels that fold in! I'm having PTSD just thinking about it.

Just fold them together as much as you can and use the tab at near the back of the knee to secure them. Thats what I did

Agreed. So finally got it. Panels lock in pegs above. But leaving a gap on the back of the leg. Sloppy finishing if you ask me. Could have done a better finish.
