No regrets whatsoever. One of the best 3rd party figures ever made, in my opinion.

Would you say he is worth $200?

Yes, I would have to say yes. I should hate to miss this figure in either version.

I should say that my opinion is partly coloured by the way he meshes with the Diaclone Reboot line so well.

I mean to different people that's going to be a different amount of your discretionary income - I'm happy with my purchase but I had the money available at the time to blow on it. If things were tighter I probably wouldn't have.

That said, I love him, but I'm the type of person who likes to transform his figures a lot and likes when they have a lot of playability. This guy is crazy durable, super hefty, the transformation is pretty easy but that works in the favor of the previous two points. Paint work on it is amazing (honestly the only thing about handling him is I'm a little more careful not to scratch the paint up cause it looks so good.) The amount of ways you can configure him is awesome - there's a lot more ways than it seems that you can put the various pieces on. I showed a couple pictures of him to a coworker and he commented that no matter how you have him it looks like he's in a power pose.

Got mine today from the chosen prime. I really like this guy and he is really well made. Pulling his arms out was tough and felt like it might break.
Other than that this guy is really soild and good all around!!

Got this guy a few days ago and I must say this is definitely the best interpretation of Optimus Prime/Convoy I've ever held in my hands. Not just design wise but also engineering wise as a toy/action figure/display piece. If TFC keeps churning out figures at this level of quality, I can see them easily equaling or even surpassing Fans Toys in a few years.

Only managed to snap the most basic appearance of his robot mode - no accessories equipped - and even in this "naked" mode he still looks absolutely stunning. I am indifferent towards diecast metal in our toys but most of it really helps lower his center of gravity which is nigh on perfect. It is very stable and easy to pose with excellent articulation.

I like this much more than my TFM Menasor but then again that one is a combiner.

Got a broken tab on the shoulder adapter for combined mode - does anyone know how to contact TFC? I'd like to ask them for a spare part ...

Maybe try their Weibo: Sina Visitor System

The latest post on that page is about TFC STC-01NB, so might be a good place to drop a line. One of the knee gun pods slash missile rack on my copy has the connector peg assembled upside down, I've been thinking of contacting them as well.

Knee surgery done, now the gun pods can attach to the leg armor properly. This is how the parts came out of the box:
    IMG_20210119_151407.jpg
The right one has the peg assembled upside down so it couldn't be used as part of the missile launcher mode's missile rack or the super mode's knee guns. The fix requires removal of the pin holding the peg, which I did with a watchmaker's pin punch and hammer. And I also just noticed that the pegs on the pauldron extensions - the ones with the broken pegs on @mycon's post above - are positioned with slightly different heights. In this photo you can clearly see the figure's left pauldron extension being ever so slightly higher than the right:
    IMG_20210119_165016.jpg
Not sure if this was intentional or not since those differently positioned pegs do not affect how the pauldron extensions, aka part of the missile rack, work in missile launcher mode.

And finally, this is how the intermediate super mode looks, I still need to get around to installing the rocket jetpack and figuring out a use for the smaller backpack, which you have to remove if you want the cooler looking rocket jetpack.

You can actually plug it onto his back upside down - the two tabs on the back plug onto the brown pieces that would normally go over the top of his back when it's the main backpack he's wearing. It takes a little bit of trying to get the angle right, and while he's wearing it it will interfere with his legs a bit, but it fits. Ends up looking kind of like a small jump-pack thing. It does fall off rather easily though.

I did indeed get him for my birthday! I am super excited to spend time with him. He's so hefty and just looks amazing.

So here's mine! I am absolutely loving him. The accessories, the poseability, all the options just make him so much fun.

So far the only concern I have are his elbows are *very tight. need to get some shock oil i think.

Did you have trouble pulling the arms out as well? One of my favorite things about this guy is EVERYTHING can be stored on him in the 2 main super modes. The designers really deserve more credit for the creativity they put in this guy.

    Nice shots there @Rhinox !
STC-01NB is easily one of the best third party Optimus Primes ever. The fact that he is an entire playset on his own is awesome.

    @A Good Noodle
Yeah, pulling off the arms the very first time is a bit nightmarish, I thought they were going to break. The trick is to give the elbow a tiny bit of bend as you pull it, this seems to make it easier, although now after several transformations and a dab of shock oil I feel it has become a bit smoother going.

Yeah, the first time I did have trouble extending the arms. I went ahead and ordered the shock oil from Amazon, should be here in a day or two. I think a dab or two in each should provide enough to solve any issue.
Also found a way to stash Roller and the gun in vehicle mode. Both can be stored quite easily under the big missile and when that sucker is locked in nothing is going anywhere.

This is a very fun toy. I'd been looking at him for quite a while. I am glad I asked for and received him. It made for a lovely 40th birthday.

I can get roller into the area with the ramps, how are you getting the gun under there?

This is how I've stored it. The missile is not on super tight, I didn't nail it down like I could. Rather it's hooked in through the rear fold out port and just resting on the upper pylons.
