I would be interested in all of those, mainly because I'm liking Selects a lot more than the main line.

Regarding Hauler, I always head canon him as the same guy as Grapple. G1 has plenty of errors and there's also a lot of bots that go by more than one name. I don't really get why people always bring him up. The main appeal I see in him is to have a Constructicon colored Autobot.

The more I think about this I wish this was Clampdown and not deeper cut Deep Cover.

 

I'm glad I've held off on getting the Sideswipe so far; Deep Cover looks sharp.

Since an earth mode Sideswipe & Red Alert are supposed to be coming, I can't really see them doing Tigertrack, Deep Cover, & hopefully Clampdown over again. My speculation is they'll remain in their "cybertronian" modes, which honestly isn't a big deal to me.

I'm still really curious about what the Netflix Deep Cover will consist of. People say it's a sparkless, but DC is just an odd character for them to shovel into that role. My guess is it won't be DC at all, just a generic sparkles much like the zombie Datsun. Hopefully we will see soon enough what the difference is.

 

Clampdown is too similar colors-wise to Redalert to be worth it IMO

 

I would have agreed, but they did Deep Cover after doing G2 Sideswipe and those to have practically the same colorscheme but one with red and the other in blue.

 

I'm curious what the difference will be. Maybe the Netflix Deep Cover is the rumored new earth Sideswipe mould?

So my order from Rogue Toys is still in the pre-shipment phase. I assume it's cause of MLK Day, so I think it'll start moving tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be getting it by the end of the week!

Yeah that's a completely different toy and no it doesn't has it has it's own set a differences to not make look like a real lambo.

 

The only major difference I personally find lacking in that mold when compared to the siege mold that is a wholesale leave out from the Countach is the flared out trim around the bottom. The 5 hole rim, the door scoops, flat(ter) nose, and the larger tail lights, and the flatter canopy are all present. Even not counting the trim Earthrise and G1 Sunstreaker are more likely a closer callback to the LP400 instead of the LP500 which was used for G1 Sideswipe. The 400 doesn't have it to begin with. Arguing licensing is irrelevant when the product already exists, there is little to no "licensing" excuse an Earthmode for Sideswipe couldn't have all the same similarities to the 500 that Sunstreaker has to the 400.

If you find a modded/painted Siege mold fine for an Earthmode LP500 then.. that's great for you, I don't. Not for a line where we've already been fed, and have more slight remolds coming for existing molds for "Earthmodes".. especially when the elements from the 400 and 500 already exist on an "Earthmode" mold.
