It's a good thing all of you are so good at posing her because i'm terrible at it lol. I also have a shit camera so even if i could get her in a crazy pose it'd look like garbage.
You're doing amazing work! I think there could be room for both with and without teeth 'angry' face, as I see them as two different expressions. The reference you used... ...looks more like yelling to me, which I think works fine without teeth showing. I see the teeth bared grimace as a different expression. Perhaps you need to differentiate the mouth shape between the two? I think your mouth shape works perfect for the teeth bared expression, so maybe needs tweaking for the yelling? I have no idea, but maybe narrower width and/or more open - I only say that because if a switch myself from an open mouthed yell to a teeth bared grimace I feel it close and widen (but kinda depends what I'm going for). Maybe conflating these two expressions as the same thing is what's making it tricky to get right?
What program do you use to do your modelling and what type of printer do you use to make your test pieces? Resin or plastic 3d printer? I'd like to start modding my figures like this but need a jump-off point.
I use Blender cuz it's what I learned first but I always recommend people starting out learn fusion360 cuz it's more versatile. I use a resin printer for this kind of thing because it's the only way to get good crisp detail but I also have an fdm printer I use for larger and less detailed pieces. My resin printer is an Elegoo Mars and my fdm is a Prusa i3 mk3. Everybody else who replied, I didn't miss your comments - I'll be messing with the sculpts later and I'll reply with updates.
I didn't stretch the lips on the Rage face any further because that's how it appeared in the pic from the comic, but I've raised the angle of the split like you suggested. And I reduced the eyelid contour and adjusted the eyebrow and mouth on the wink face. Thanks for that. I probably won't be using all of those but I'll be looking over it for ideas. The plan is to release versions of the angry face with and without teeth. When I do my next round of prints, I'll be looking at the toothless angry face once it's printed to see if it needs more adjustment to look more like yelling.
I admit those trying to pull it off to work with Arcee are very determined. And that's great! We get some very nice shots and posing. But truthfully, it's not going to happen. It's physically not possible. Her legs are not designed for it. If shot is taken directly in front I'm sure we will all see she can't cross her legs over the other. These shots are at an angle giving the perception that it is. Still, compared to others, she is fantastically balanced and can pull off extreme poses. Still an amazing feat.
As a human, I can say with confidence that this is how I sexy walk. The hips are usually pushed out to give the illusion of forward motion. My pose literally has her knees almost touching each other. With a front-facing standing shot, you're not really asking for a sexy walk, what you're asking for I can only describe as um.. holding in a pee? lol Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not making fun of you, honest. As a former fashion photographer, I always had to constantly tell the models to flare out their hips more forward or else they'll look like they're holding in a pee. (Plot twist, some of them were). Anyways, I'm always up for a photography/posing challenge

Don’t worry brother. You’ve got mad skills with action figures, just have to find a lady that’s into action figures and kick ass displaying. She’s out there,....
That's ridiculous, hahaha. Improved considerably? Nah, I think massively fits better. Keep it up, brother!
Thanks, I noticed that the thighs weren't being utilized to compensate for the waist turn, so I was very curious how it would turn out Damn, when a post is more popular than the source lol Lol, I never intended to try to prove which one was better, I'm just a simple man playing with his toys I'm not sure I understand the question, can you clarify for me? Are you referring to the thigh swivel to get them to face forward before crossing them?
