My friend hit California, Azusa Target at 1:30 after I met him at Frank and Sons, and scored a Firefly--said it was in a cart, that an employee was handling. I haven't been hunting lately, but have heard he's relatively easy to find now--in SoCal.

Yeah, got a bunch of those, but they're not quite in scale for 6" figures unfortunately.

Let's just say I really like the Retro Collection Scarlett's head... like a lot.

Resolute had her lower legs and knees swapped for spare RetroScarlett/RoCHelix parts as while they do share similar sculpts to the Resolute pieces they're different heights. With Resolute thighs being slightly thicker and a fraction longer along with the knees and the lower legs are the biggest difference. The Helix/RetroScarlett fee are slightly taller than the Resolute Scarlett's, interestingly.

Retro got a grenade on her upper torso, and I sanded down her lower arms to allow for some trimmed Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S female gauntlets to fit without looking too thick, and a pair of female Marauder Task Force gloves with a Knife sheath for her boot.

SDCC just had some harness and belt added and glued on.

And since I'm a total maniac, I modified the necks to work with the Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S female neck joints.

That's another problem. The Retro line was relegated to Wal-Mart, and to date I haven't seen a damn thing in person. Granted I can't buy non-essential stuff in my province right now because the fucking Premier is the biggest dickwad on the planet, but hey, his numbers are going down, maybe he had a good idea, who knows.

I am tired of exclusives at retail. I barely shop retail anymore, I prefer to pre-order and not think about it. Unless Amazon cancels shit for no good fucking reason. You want a retail presence for Joe? Just do your movie tie-in crap. The rest should be available online only if you want to be exclusive about shit. Yeah, you might get a crap paintjob, or some asswipe toy swap, but at least if you pre-order something at most major online sellers like BBTS you're guaranteed to get it. Even if it takes four years.

As for why Hasbro seems so against G.I.Joe while still reviving it every so often is probably some stupid stigma towards military toys not being popular outside the western world right now because everybody hates America. Or some other BS excuse.

If Chinese companies can profit by releasing all of these crazy 4 inch army inspired toys like the Joytoy line of real-world military action figures or the Acid Rain figures everybody seems to love so much there's no reason why Joe can't flourish.

The weapons I made peace with. It's just that I'm looking for gear in this scale, actually. Stuff like NVGs, radios, pouches, etc. Thanks for the suggestions nevertheless folks!

Another cool design from the new sculpt era that the figure didn’t live up to.

Finally got around to opening this guy and he's pretty good. His ab crunch joint is super loose, like bobble head loose, but other than that he's decent.

His articulation is great but I'm definitely missing that boot cut, especially being a ninja.

    Try

    They even do recasts

Even some stuff like cobra trooper goggles and viper bandanna, I’m not sure if it’s hard plastic like the gun recast so you’ll just have to buy and see for yourself.

    ****Heads Up******
Hasbro GI Joe Classified Snake Eyes (Variant)
Seems to be a new running charge to the basic snake eyes figure from wave one.

I'm going to reach out to them, but do you know if they can recast parts sent to them?

News Post: G.I. Joe Classified Series Snake Eyes Variant Found At Retail

Noticeably, the red paint blotch above the visor is missing from the new variant; thus equaling to the 00 Preview Figure.

Speaking of which, the visor is also painted in a glossy black paint to distinguish from the helmet.

Additionally, a slight change in the packaging has been made. The knife is no longer showcased separately and comes inside the little sheath on Snake Eyes' left thigh.

I wish they would re release the ci figures or state their plans to at the very least. All pegs empty around me. Actually physically checked today as I feel like I am gonna miss out on this firefly and it is making me antsy.

I like the repaints but not enough to justify a repurchase. If the costume was different to the point of a new version then I would be interested. For example a snake eyes vs an arctic snake eyes or something like that but I dont need small minor differences.

All though the redeco on scarlet's head makes her look older so I may pick that one up or at least the head up so she doesn't look like a teenager compared to the rest. But even that isn't a guarantee that I will because double dipping for slight differences is to costly and after they already hit me for multiple cobra commanders, destros, and snake eyes already I am mainly just after new characters.

Wonder if they're trying to purposely kill the classified line with the repaints...but yeah most of them will be a total pass for me.

Well since a lot of collectors were complaining about the color choices and the first wave not being produced as heavily as to be easy to find, I think that a new year with the first wave redone might not be the worst idea.

Hope they’ll hope on that Cobra Island problem as well.

Was thinking of that as well but then why slight repaints... But that's good, I'm sure these won't peg warm either.
