I'm super excited for this release. I've only owned a handful of Primes in my life (4 maybe?) and I've had none since I purged half of my collection to focus solely on LSOTW/MTMTE/LL. This will be a welcome addition.

God I hope this thing gets a nice redeco! I promised myself I wouldn't get anymore duplicate characters and that FansHobby Armada Prime took the slot, but this looks so good!

 

That figure is magnificent. Cannot wait for mine to ship. Any ideas what the PSX exclusive is?

While I'm not in for a Nemesis Prime of SG version of this mold, a Nova Prime, with his wings, would be hard to pass for me.

 

No disrespect. But mmc gave us a Nova. So did maketoys and snd for upgrade on battle core prime. And every time we turn around we got to have nemesis or sg optimus. Can we try having some primes who have never had figures before? Like Zeta? Prima? Nomimus? Hell i would take a Liege Maximo that wasnt a junky little headmaster with a battlemaster shell. Hell gimme the Necrobot, Tyrest, literally any bot or con who has never had a figure.

 

And you would retool/repaint this mold to make any of those how?

 

They retooled stray and wing to be 2 different style vehicles. I think necrobot and nominus could be retooled from this mold. If you are gonna parts form to make novas wings, you can parts form for nominus thruster engines and wings.

 

Who said they were part forming wings? Nova has an inner bot that Don designed. They could just retool/repaint this into an homage to that. Lots easier and would still probably sell. Sure some will complain, but let's face the facts, some will ALWAYS complain.

 

Just saying they transform basically the same way, they both worked together, and Ironhide does not have that many CHUG 3rd party figures. I think just Igear and Planet-X.

Plus you LL/MTMTE fans can get your Ratchet  .

 

Well you could wait for a possible Stormbringer repaint of him to be Armada Prime's cybertronian mode, which is what I'm might do (even though they barely look similar).

 

I kind of agree here. It would be nice to see some newer ground be covered (Pyro). Maybe they could rework it to some others like Huffer or Pyra Magna. Though I would really like to see their take on Victorion. If MMC went that route, it would open up a Megatronia redeco.

 

I could handle a Pyro redeco out of this mold...I mean he idolized Prime anyways and went for the similar look. Plus I love the Wreckers and would like to have a non custom figure.

 

I still think a toxitron redeco would be great, cus when you really think about it, when have we received a toxitron redeco really?

Hoping to see a retail repaint eventually as im not really for the boy scout colors

 

I could handle that too since all we had were botcon versions. Toxitron would be great.

 

2 botcon versions from what I can tell. Toxitron was based off a cancelled repaint of the g2mold, or the animated. Itd be nice to get a mainline recolor with acid effects. Nice simple, and not the black repaint. Throw in some effects part, the sharper original face, and it could make a good addition to the wrecker shelf.

 

@hardreturn would you say his transformation is fun/smooth? I’m not too familiar with MMC stuff but Some of your guy’s stuff looks fun to transform.
