You have very good and valid points.

Whether you like the movies or not you can’t deny what it did for the Transformers franchise. It put Transformers back in the spotlight and brought it all the new fans and Transformers probably wouldn’t be as big and successful as it is now without the help of the Bay movies. You’re free to dislike the movies but you can’t deny what it did for the franchise

Agreed. I can sit down and enjoy most of the Bay Films. I really have to be in the mood for G1. I didn't grow up on G1 though so I lack some of the nostalgia for watching a long ad.

From a purely objective standpoint, the g1 cartoon (not the movie) isn’t that great. Aside from a few multi parters all the episodes are pretty much the same and boil down to “decepticons have x invention that will destroy the autobots forever.” The dialogue is very cheesy at times and due to how rushed it was to coincide with the toys it is filled with really noticeable animation errors. So from the most purely objective standpoint, g1 isn’t that good.

    but objectiveness doesn’t actually matter

Due to being the first real transformers media, g1 holds a special place in many hearts here and that’s totally fine. Transformers today would be literally nowhere without it. The cheesiness and errors still make the show very enjoyable and funny to watch, even to someone like myself who was put on by the bay movies (not that they don’t have their problems either). My point is that “oBJectIVElY bAd” doesn’t mean shit and subjective is all that matters.

    Aight I’m moving on now

I'd hope that if Sunstorm gets a new figure he's the Earthrise mold and NOT the Siege tetra-jet.

Yeah. the G1 cartoon might be of-it's-time dopiness, but compared to the movies it's good heavily outweighs its bad. But then, this is just the opinion of somebody who isn't in a one-sided romance with the US military, obsessed with how many moving parts a CGI model has, and prefers the robots in the foreground instead of the background (some times just sitting around as cars because we gotta make the most of those Ford licenses!!!)

I think the idea that all of the G1 episodes were basically the same is a bit of an exageration.
There were plenty of episodes like Heavy Metal War, the Rebirth, Five faces of darkness, The key to Vector Sigma etc that had a "deeper" plot.

My favorite Movie-verse Autobot is Guy With American-British Accent Who Shoots Canon Fodder Decepticons and my favorite Decepticon is Snarling Bug Monster Who Gets Shredded Like Wet Paper By Autobots!

I just have one question that anyone really could answer if they know, but is SS86 Wreck-Gar true or false? Because I feel like it got leaked ages ago but nobody really brings it up, but I just want to make sure the movie cast will be complete and it wasn't debunked while I was away.

He's still happening this year at some point

Another user has seen his instructions.

It's goes even further that a Junkion ( Not Wreck-gar ) will also release next year as well under the SS86 tag.

Yeah I feel like him and Gnaw kinda get a little buried by the other SS86 rumors, but so far both are still on deck afaik

@wreckgar39 Is the SS86 Sharkticon specifically Gnaw, or is it a generic Sharkticon troop?

Was there an actual difference between the 2?

Also, Transmutate and G2 Ramjet have item numbers now, so I'm calling those as 'confirmed' as well.

Look at it this way. I'm the type that calls individual instances of Rumble & Frenzy by whatever Hasbro calls them, rather than any headcanon personal preference. Even if there's a naming difference, I'd like to know so I can plan ahead.

Also, I was under the impression that Gnaw was the only Sharkticon that allied with the Decepticons.

I honestly only ever thought they called the toy 'Gnaw' because 'we can't just call it 'Sharkticon'', which I assume has changed since the '80s because we have "Air Vehicon" and "Allicon" now, and they just kept the name.
