Can't wait to get him into my hands, into combined mode, and into crazy poses! Kinda jealous about all those who have it already, but glad to see that most of you all seem to be very pleased with it!

There sure do seem like a lot of people in the thread who have no interest in the set complaining about how it's "bad".
Looks nice! looking forward to when mine ships/arrives

Could you take a picture from the sides only with the shells? I don;t want to double dip, but I'd be OK with only shells on the arms if that looks cohesive from the side.
Also: do you really need to put Motormaster inside?

I don't have any figures attached to him and he stands and balances just fine. I was thinking of double dipping to get a set to put on him but I think I might be just as happy with this.

Good to see that it's viable if you're okay with the empty look. Thanks for the pics and pointing it out in the first place.

Not sure about the face but the rest looks pretty good. Really hoping the G1 "youth" version of Motormaster has the proper blue-ish face color and design, and the combined head has the more striking look that the toy version had vs the cartoon.

Except there are those huge empty holes in those arm shells without the actual cars in there filling them in. Not exactly looking too swell, IMHO, lol.

So I just combined mine. Pretty frustrated at the moment. It’s back heavy and the feet should have had ratchets. Hips should’ve had forward-backward ratchets. Trying to get him to hold weapons is a pain the the ass. Just wondering if I missed something as to why it’s so back heavy/fiddly. I know it ain’t no zeta but damn. I had to take a break from it.

Okay so took a break and got back to it. I got the weapons to go in both hands fine now. I did get a pose, but once I move the right foot past a certain point it kind of gives enough for the back heaviness to take over and I have to adjust the back of the calf where breakdown sits. But so far so good. It is pretty solid otherwise. I’m just used to the way zetas ankles hold up. Some of those foam pads for the feet should help.

As for the arm covers I’m not sure if I’ll keep them on. It looks more toon but also bulky.

Just finished combining mine. Blimey that really did take a long time.

So echoing others thoughts, very fiddly transformation, but rather satisfying in the end, particularly aesthetically. Looks better in person than in pics, proportions seem nicer and very imposing.

    So is it stable? Hmmm.

Honestly it scares the heck out of me, cos it's not Zeta stable which is what I'm used to but it's certainly by no means a floppy mess as I was scared it might be from that recent video.

I can get poses out of him but I do need to be careful about centre of gravity and how his legs/feets are positioned.

    Some things:
    - The feet hinges are a bit annoying as when you do an ankle tilt, seems to take apart the rear calf which makes the cars fall out.
    - Make sure to do the pegs in the chest that fold out and need to rotate to lock the sides in. I missed that step and was super frustrated at his chest sides falling out. Once I found the locking pins, was completely fine!
    - Once Gravestone was in felt back heavy for sure, have to be careful to compensate and not let him fall backwards. Also found it very tricky to get him in once the chest was fully tabbed in and locked up
    - Wrists and elbows are not super loose and can hold poses but does tend to flop when trying more ambitious angles.
    - car shells look smaller in hand, prefer the look with them on!
    - though the leg cars slot right in ok, I found quite hard to get a very aligned and secure connection, my crackup fell off when my ankle tilt failed and snapped his spoiler connector :(

Will mess about some more later.

Despite all that, he looks awesome and I'm very pleased with him. Was expecting the stability to be worse, even though he's not perfect.
Can't wait to find a spot in the display for him!

I also wanted to share that I swapped the lovely painted youth breakdown car shell with the very blah vanilla breakdown release. It matches the other figures so much better! Wasn’t fun by any means but we had a looong wait so it gave me something to do until the trailer released.

Nope. Not even close. His knees are too high.

I disagree about the ratchets. Not having them means one can fine-tune the position to get the balance right.

That's actually pretty insightful. Could actually be a design choice to allow you to pose more easily
