In the leaker community do the Bayformer leaks carry the same currency as the proper Generations leaks? And if so, for the toys themselves as opposed to the kudos of knowing something secret?

I agree that this thread should not turn into a G1 vs Bayformers debate, but the following is true:
A substantial section of the fandom don't care at all about them
The films were objectively terrible
The CGI designers paid very little attention to trying to make the transformation being possible in a real life situation
The insectoid design of most of the robots allows for very little variation between them once you exclude the alt mode kibble

I have seen all the movies. I don't who Jolt and Devcon were. I have no inclination to bother checking. And I only who know who Hatchet and KSI Sentry were from being in the right place at the right time.

I wonder if most of the leakers now skew younger and would have more of a fondness for the newer lines.

None of these are true.

There's a very good number of fans who became fans because of these movies.

wh- the cgi designers worked a fuckton on these movies. "they're not realistic". a) in what situation would ANY OF THIS BE REALISTIC and b) for a sci-fi movie, it does enough.

You could literally say this about anything. "This hamburger tastes exactly like this hamburger but only if you remove the meat"

Like, my opinion on the first 5 movies lowered considerably after seeing Bumblebee and learned what an actual good movie is, but all of what you said is pretty ridiculous.

"Made a lot of money" doesn't mean 'good', though. Look at the Fast and Furious movies; they're pretty terrible but they rake it in.

 

Jolt was a near last minute addition to ROTF to advertise the Chevrolet Volt IIRC and Devcon is just the name applied to the quadrupedal Decepticon from DOTM.

just because u like g1 more then u like bayverse doesn’t mean it’s worthless. if u asked some random who isn’t a diehard transformers fan to name half of the G1 cast is they’d have no idea

@wreckgar39 Do you know if there's any rhyme or reason to how they chose the WFC repacks? I'd hope some of the more scarce guys and possibly exclusives would be among the ranks, but I don't know if they'd do that so close to the original releases.

 

All TF leaks are valid and equal because it's ultimately about the figures themselves. I kinda dig the movies to an extent but also find some parts rough. Most of us are in it for the clever transformations or to finish a collection.

How are we almost 200 pages in and still need to address this?

Okay, here's an example: AOE/TLK Optimus

Some people absolutely love the design, and others hate it. Personally, I feel eh about it because it doesn't look enough like a transformer with a decent amount of parts visible. That being said, I get excited by every 3P one that comes out because they make a design that in theory is impossible, possible, and that's cool as hell.

 

will there be an SS knight optimus? i know he was being considered but got dropped for evasion prime

 

My guess is that if we get one, it'll be the TLK Voyager with a ton of paint. He's the same size as the other SS Primes, and his sculpt is pretty accurate, besides certain compromises due to needing to transform and be $30.

 

I'd like to see that mold in the different styles, like his original, the knight mode with different arms, and Nemesis. Surprised they haven't capitalized on seemingly easy reworking but I ain't a Hasbro guy idk what goes into those decisions

To get back on thr subject of leaks: the 3rd Netflix Spoiler is the crystal purple Paleotrex and *which* version of Megatron?

Do we also know what the Megatron deco will be?

 

This is like the 3rd G1 vs Bayformers debate on here. It doesn’t matter. Both G1 and Bayformers have had their own dedicated lines. According to the original question, yes they both have equal weight in leaks, as many people (myself included) would never have joined the transformers community if it wasn’t for them. Whether they’re good or not is irrelevant. And before anyone comes at me saying “oh this is a forum I can debate what I want”, this same conversation has happened a minimum of two other times over the course of 180+ pages. Each going on for multiple pages. There are designated threads for this, so go there. There are actual questions being asked, and they’re getting drowned out by this frankly annoying debate.

I think it’s supposed to be the Siege mold, deco unknown. He might have a remolded chest to hold whatever is supposed to be pushed into his chest.
