Eh, I'm cool with this. The Siege Sideswipe still rocks and if Deep Cover was different he would look out of place when put alongside Tigertrack.

Wire ties are the best for securing a figure back in it's box for storage or moving. I'm glad I saved a ton from the Armada days. I still use them. I put 1 around the waist so the figure doesn't bounce around all over.

 

Deep cover looks really good, really love that color scheme. Absolute must buy.

The siege Sideswipe mold is one of my favorite transformers molds. It’s simple but I think it pulls off both the robot and vehicle modes just right. I have every version of the mold so far, so I guess I will be picking this guy up too!

Pandering to g1 is like most of what hasbro does, aint a surprise diaclone is part of that now too

 

How is that not a surprise? They haven't really been flooding us with Diaclone homages over the last 14 years of Classics, ect. Diaclone repaints weren't expected until the last two years.

Diaclone is far more interesting than G2 repaints.

Do you have an actual argument, or just grasping at random symbols that you don't know the meaning of? Because that symbol isn't police related.

 

If they do the siege sideswipe in a clean deco with white parts instead of off white/Pearl then I’d be satisfied!

I want this guy because he shows up in the cartoon in a non speaking role mind you but he does clearly appear in it. I only collect (for the most part ) cartoon appearing guys to try to keep my kids collections in check and because they are only interested in cartoon appearing characters .

You complained that Deep Cover is "just a blue G2 fig" as if to say being another version of something from G2 meant it was worth less.

The eHobby G1 repaints from the 2000s were basically the first new G1 characters since the show ended and were really popular back in those days so of course people would want them in updated toys. To downplay them as "just G1 in different colors" is obnoxious and ignorant.

Wrong. There's no way "another Sideswipe in different colors" is more interesting than "another Sideswipe toys in different colors, but as a different character". G2's lame Player 2 repaint color schemes sucked.
