    Is it better for Optimus Prime to have an axe or a sword? I say, is it too much to ask for both?

    No, he had a weird sword with some sort of axe like blade, a halberd is like the holy fusion of a lance and an axe.

    Cheap Trick's cover of the Transformers theme is the best version of the song.
    Nightwatch Optimus Prime has an awesome color scheme that needs to be reused.
    The Low Road is a good episode and doesn't deserve the flak it receives.

    OP never struck me as the sword-wielding kind of warrior, unless it was maybe a heavy two-hander. An axe is the more traditional route, but not really fitting, either. I see Optimus Prime as more of the "big-assed hammer" type.

    Peter Cullen and Frank Welker are nice, but Garry Chalk and David Kaye will always be the best Optimus and Megatron.

    To jump in on the sword vs ax debate, I'm gonna go with swords for Optimus and axes for Grimlock. The ax suits a barbarian like Grimlock better, and the sword has been associated with heroic champions in fiction for a long time. The cruciform sword especially is a good fit for Optimus. My only critique is that any future sword-wielding Optimuses need to use HEMA techniques. The only time I like an ax for Optimus is when he's got a fire truck alt mode and he isn't being portrayed like King Arthur.
