They're great for the price of course but tolerances aren't great out of the box. I wasn't expecting it for the price tho

 

So to summarize: Use finesse. Don't apply pressure to the 'door' when manipulating that hinge joint. Instead apply pressure at the hinge itself. So in other words, use common sense?

Would have liked to see a close up demonstration of properly transforming the front tires. Just to see how tight those particular joints are. As has already been pointed out, those hinges on the tires appear prone to breakage, but that could simply be the cause of a stiff or fused hinge joint.

 

I finally got this guy today. I don't have the original, so I've got nothing to compare him with. Out of the box, the alt mode looked sloppy and didn't seem to tab together all that well. I will transform him back to Jeep mode later and see if I can get it to fit better. I think his bot mode looks great and everything fit and tabbed well. The plastic didn't feel cheap and I did not notice any stress marks. Overall, I am happy with him.

Regardless of what nitpicks exist with this one, the fact that it has non dry rotting plastic is already a massive improvement. This mold is terrific. I had the official for one day and loved it before it developed about five additional cracks. It’s a very clean design that looks great in both modes and the transformation itself is great. All the little painted details in the dash and console are particularly impressive. If it weren’t for the breaking, it would be a serious contender for Best MP Car (I think Sunstreaker holds that crown at the moment).

I have the “improved” one on preorder. I’m dying to learn more about how that one turned out.

Ok just got done transforming the KO, and it seems really nice, no stress marks on known tight spots...but it was SCAAARY.
The Spike figure that came with mine is absolute trash! its as if they assembled it when the paint was wet...knees and elbows are fused...the ball sockets on the arms and one leg work...BUT one of the legs broke off trying to coax it loose.

 

Anyone planning on getting both that could give us a comparison?

 

I kinda wanna get both. I have Gundog too though. I don’t need all those hounds.

 

I sold my Willis in anticipation! But if this KO is solid I may need to move Gundog as well.

 

Just got him today, and I didn't encounter any issues, even the plastic is sturdy, the details are well done, including the yellow lines in the crotch area, as well as the head lights.
