No, I know what that's for. I'm referring to the piece on the back on the gun I was talking about.

 

He has the legs fully extended and the head hinged up. You can tell by the placement of the gold details well below the armor skirts on Leos shins and the raised yellow panel in front of the head.

The arms and legs are already beefy.

It needs a REVISED 2.0 Torso with parts forming to recreate its massive size.

A sort of upgrade set WOULD be nice, and hopefully cheaper/easier to design than all-new team members. While Leo Dux might require basically a whole new figure to make any meaningful improvements, I think a few smaller things could really improve the combined form:

Some sort of hinge/armature/replacement for Bovis and Fortis' rear beast-legs, so that the combined mode inner calves can be "swung around to the back of the leg", so his calves don't touch all the time.

Modified waists/torsos for the arm-bots, for improved combined elbow range of motion.

While I am up for "pin-removal-required" mods, not everyone is, so they may be constrained to "what parts/assemblies could be swapped out easily".

TLDR: I'd be very up for like a $100 "improvement set" to upgrade Feral Rex. Using the vast majority of the existing bots, but replacing a few areas to improve the combined form's worst aspects.

 

You could check to see if @ultraman zoffy has made something like that for the regular scaled version mmc made and not just the OS'd ones.

Spoke with Ultraman, bought several kits from him. He not interested in MMC feral rex upgrades.

Glad to have my Hasbro Predaking with detachable legs (Ultraman design), no backpack when they’re in individual robot modes. Waiting for Ultraman to design detachable backpacks for the arms of Hasbro predaking. It will be nice to have a hasbro predaking team looking clean in robot mode and backpack kibble-free.

I’m moving and was thinking of selling original feral rex and exclusive Nero rex. What do you all think they are worth these days. I mean the knocks and all really saturated the markets. Is it worth anything at this point?

 

Check eBay and the b/st threads to see demand, and price accordingly. If you're willing to go low enough you should be able to move them.

 

Each set goes for around $300. You'd be taking a loss (assuming you paid retail), but I only see these going down in value at this point. Nero might bounce back eventually since it was an exclusive with way lower production numbers, but I think Feral will continue to drop in value.

How is warlord I was thinking about picking one up for chug

 

Its good as display piece, but not as a desk toy.
Headstrong broke during shipping, and one leg of Razorclaw broke while playing.
This is visible in above picture. The yellow under Warlord is actually KO POTP's leg.

 

It fits in perfectly with CHUG and is a fantastic looking piece in combined mode. Individual modes are ok to decent, nothing spectacular. Plastic quality is good. WYSIWYG, really. Bot modes are arguably better than the beast modes, and the beast modes are decent with the exception maybe of the leg bots. Tantrum has the same proportions as Headstrong and it just looks wrong. The only real problem with the set is the combined mode though. Like I said, it *looks* fantastic. Arms are decent, but the waist is a loose mess. You can get it to hold poses, and there are ways to boost the friction in the waist. There wrere posts in the official thread way back when pointing out that the waist was possibly misassembled and that was part of the issue and it also showed how to improve it. I never bothered because it held my poses well enough. Thing is once I have it in a pose, I really don't want to touch it because it'll lose the pose until I get the balance back in place. It's not a huge issue but it's definitely an issue and the big negative of the set that could ruin your fun factor if you like manipulating your figures regularly.

 

Is for connect the gun to Tigris back in alt mode. I just got this set last week, hehe.

 

Lol now I have the urge to see that little tab in action as I always wondered about it. I dread going through my garage/storage to get him. Funny that this set is so old and outdated but I still love this set regardless of CangToys upcoming Predacons.
