So when are they supposed to officially start putting kingdom on shelves? Some states/cities have all of wave one out already and I’m tired of bothering my Targets and Walmart’s as they clearly don’t have the correct people in charge to know when. Really debating on ordering what I want from cmd store.

Officially, as per Target’s street dates, Kingdom was supposed to have rolled out on January 1st along with the Buzzworthy line. Studio Series ‘86 is supposed to roll out February 1st. Things is, Target is the only retailer to have these original street dates in place.

My theory on that is after Covid disrupted production and getting supply to stores, Hasbro readjusted the street dates to accommodate for a slower rollout. Thing is it never really materialized how they expected, and for the most part, things have released on time. This is seen even now with ‘86 as it’s not supposed to release till April, yet most stores already have stock.

The original street dates can be found on the press releases that came with the reveals. The dates listed are 1/1/21 and 2/1/21, the same as Target

My Targets are barren wastelands in the toy aisles. No new Transformers or Marvel Legends. But the Storm/Thunderbird 2-pack and Retro Spider-Man line (Gwen/MJ) rang up at 1/2 off.

All target/Walmart stores in my area are too popular, never found a good TF in store.
Waiting for my preorders to arrive.
86 is available all around the world besides US, hmm

My one and only Target near me in south Atlanta had 1 Kingdom Optimus Prime on the shelves and that was it.

No Cyberverse, no Buzzworthy Bumblebee, No Siege or Earthrise, no Studio Series, no Botbots, and no end caps. It was strange.

Kingdom is clearing out fast except for Bondage OP and core class in general.

At the targets I've been to, even core class flew off the shelf. Kinda surprised me.

Been a while since I posted here but man........ I am livid. Target just screwed me out of a Thrust order. Seems the item got lost during transit even before it went out the door. I even got an email saying it was supposed to be here today, however the tracking never even left the "Shipment Ready for UPS" status. :(

Or maybe shipping is just slow because of what's going on in the world? Thrust is available at almost every store near me. Have you tried calling Target and asking them where your box is?

I actually messaged them and they said it was lost. I wouldn't have panicked otherwise. I haven't been able to go out for months since the pandemic started so going in store would been out of the question anyways. I did manage to re-order it tho since.

I do admit I wasn't very clear in my initial post but it was pretty obnoxious seeing as other orders I made came with no issue since. Hopefully the new order won't end the same way

today i overheard something interesting at target, during a training session with a new employee working in the toy department. the manager was warning the new hire about customers asking for figures from the back. the manager then instructed the new hire not to do that for people. he then stated, in particular, people looking for transformers. he mentioned about how people come in looking for exclusives and certain characters, blah blah blah. the manager then proceeded to describe his version of the "typical" transformer collector. as being a pushy, demanding, younger to middle aged man. i was totally offended by what i heard. so in my (and our) defense, i had to say something.. i explained to both of them, that not all fans are like that. i also told them that i rarely ask for something from the back. out of hundreds of visits to target, only twice has it actually happened. so i stuck up for myself and the better part of the fandom today.

more concerning was his description of the "typical" transformer collector. obviously some collectors are being too pushy and demanding about getting certain figures, otherwise the guy wouldn't have mentioned it.

target has definitely caught on to the extremely high demand for transformers, and the trend of asking for stuff from the back. so now theyre instructing employees not to waste time searching for figures in the back. based on what i witnessed today, if its not on the shelf, better luck next time. nothing else to it..

Thanks for the story and reminder. Happy to report my local Target employees are great and help however they can. I also try to be polite and understanding.

Atypical means "not typical" or "irregular". If they said that, it would indicate the normal fan was NOT pushy/demanding/a pain in the butt. Maybe they meant "archetypal".

Funny, how they hate us but love our money... though there are some real jerks out there that give rise to that stereotype.

How did Assclown react to you? I'd have also been tempted to drop a "Walmart and Amazon thank you for my business..."

Mine too, most of the time--technically I kinda cheat because since the pegs are usually low, I ask if there's a case in back and offer to help hang 'em up. This is also an illustration of the importance of becoming personally known, in a positive way, to your stores' department managers. Be amusing, always come in with a joke or story to make them laugh. Share information, especially if they tell you anything about their own hobbies or those of their kids. Always try to find somebody who looks not busy, and politely ask if they have a minute to look something up--a little Please and Thank You go a LONG way.

You know, just be what you'd want someone to be toward you were you in that stockperson's shoes.

You missed a golden opportunity to ask both of them to go to stock room and look for a figure for you.
