I've got my Ollie on top of an MP-08 OS KO Reximus Prime (brown box special). I think they look great together and the bigger Grimlock fits in better with the Movie crew. I don't know why so many Season 1 characters had to die, but Grimlock got promoted to "star player" in the movie. Not that I mind. You can't ever have too much G1 Grimlock.

Same happened to Perceptor, which I'm not sure why (because unlike Grimlock he doesn't seem like a character that would be hugely popular with kids), but I love Perceptor so I can't compain.

Just need Takara to make a Grimlock 2.0 and Fantoys to finally release Tesla 2.0....

Edit: Also it just occured to me that in my previous post I'd completely forgotten about the existence of Springer. Oooops.

I think he's worth getting for a Movie shelf. He's small too so he goes in the front of other characters easily and looks good. Just don't transform it a lot.

    I've transformed the V2 a shit-ton, and he's been great.

I haven't transformed him that often, and I will also vouch that the V2 is pretty solid. Ollie fit reasonably well, and is also a great size for a TFTM cast set.

I just found this guy on Baba's thank to these months-old comments and just saved myself $20. IDK how I never thought to look there but thanks, everyone. :thumb

BTW, I was going to buy it from BBTS and between tax and shipping it would have been $80. At Baba's it was a hair over $60. Gotta make every dollar count!

Oh I paid the price...$60 bucks, to be exact, like Blingotron above.

Worth it to have to full lineup.

Honestly though, all in all not that bad of a figure. Doesn't feel like it'll break when I transform it, anyway. I assume that means I got the V3.

Well like a few other said, he may not be the best figure but I sort of felt obligated to get him myself because I want to complete the movie cast. So I pulled the trigger today and should get him in a few weeks. He definitely won’t be the best bot In my collection but he will fill that gap in my display. Also paid just over 60 bucks for him so...ouch But that was about as good as I could do

I am also about to pull the plug on at least two of these guys. I’m just not sure which I want to make as my second to complement wreck-gar

I honestly hope you'll be pleasantly surprised. The 2.0 release is still honestly one of my favourite 3P MPs.

Thanks! I hope so too. I mean this is one of those scenarios where my expectations aren’t super high so I feel like there’s a little room to be surprised.

Just got my Ollie yesterday. Overall he's great but I do have a couple minor issues. My copy is pretty loose from the waist down. Most of which i could fix with clear nail polish or superglue, I guess. I also have a problem with the diecast thighs closing all the way. The right thigh isn't bad but the left one has a decent gap and IDK how to fix it other than filing. I'm just too afraid to in case i take too much off.

He's a good looking bot, though. I just wish the thighs weren't jank.

Yeah, I had the 1.0 fixed up to the point where I was happy with it and it was playable, but the 2.0 was such a massive upgrade.

I concur. Having fiddled with a V1 without the fixes, and picking up the V2, it's amazing it looks about the same, feeling very different in hand.
