Excellent compiling, @Tony_Bacala. Always fun reading fellow staff picks.

If I had received him before writing my list, he probably would’ve been on there in the runners up. High likelihood he’ll be on my 2021 list

It’s such a good figure, man

oh I am aware of his glorious mold. I had to put him on the shelf so I could stop messing with it and give other figures a chance to be transformed again

Love my Super Megatron, considering how disappointed I was with Galvatron, I am so glad I picked Supes up.

The only problem with mine is that his hips and ankles are too loose, it makes it hard to achieve certain poses. I still need to squeeze floor polish in those hinges. But once that’s fixed, it’s perfect. I got the 3D printed upgrade kit to make him taller and fill some of the gaps too

I friggin loved everything I picked up this year but earthrise wheel jack simply just did it for me. Favorite of 2020 and stand alone deluxe for years to come (until I get my hands on beast wars stuff, but we will see).

For me, it was really hard to determine if Doubledealer or Snapdragon would be #1. Ultimately Doubledealer won out due to being the least expected of the 2 to show up and overall playability. However, Snapdragon was an extremely close 2nd for me. Only issue with mine was a malformed gun. It’s otherwise 1 of my favorite WFC figures overall and definitely 1 of my favorite Earthrise figures. Such a solid toy.

Now I no longer regret not being able to get G1 Snapdragon in the late 80’s. Awesome how things came full circle 30+ years later.

I wish I could say that my favorite was Jetfire, but I literally opened him, hnadled him for 5 minutes and delivered him to storage. I know he\'s awesome from what I experienced, based on his size, accessories/blast effects and cartoon likeness, but I can\'t give a fair assesment until I\'ve actually transformed him. So here\'s my Top 5:

    1. Tie: Netflix Megatron (I didn\'t get ER Megatron until this year...) /Siege Springer
    2. Earthrise Tralbreaker
    3. Earthrise Optimus Prime
    4. Earthrise Prowl
    5. Earthrise Starscream/Thundercracker/Skywarp mold

    Some fine selections.

Gotta say I'm glad I've got Scorponok and Netflix Megatron because they look great in that picture on the front page.

Hastak Should\'ve made earthrise soundwave a regular release. Hard to find and scalperific in my area.

I might get astrotrain and dealer if there\'s a cut price. Train for the big ass gun and dealer for the missile.

My top pick for the best official figure of 2020 is MPM-10 Masterpiece Movie Starscream. This is the TakaraTomy version that I got this year to replace my original Hasbro copy because I accidentally broke the left arm off at the shoulder figuring out how the arms fold up for transformation back to jet mode. MPM-10 Masterpiece Movie Starscream is the most screen accurate transforming figure of the Transformers 2007 Starscream design. I love how much more unique, alien, and menacing this Starscream design is than the G1 Starscream design. As you can see, when I got it, my first priority upon transforming it to robot mode was to correct the misassembly with the feet being pinned to the wrong legs. This Starscream design is very avian. I've been out of the collecting game for a while, but idly transforming a few of the older masterpiece figures while watching DS9 for the first time, I was frustrated with how finicky the transformations were. Between that and not wanting to shell out five HUNDRED bucks for the latest Masterpiece Optimus, I think I'm moving away from Masterpiece.

Genuinely intrigued by some of the WFC/Earthrise figures. It's too bad there aren't retail links for these, but I'm getting the impression I'm not going to be able to buy all these figs easily, am I?

My toy of the last year is definitely the Earthrise Quintesson Judge simply from the lack of other transformers I picked up in quarantine
