Cyclonus and Beast Megatron

 

Why does this remind me of the infamous “The Hyus”/Daeodon at the door photo?

 

That is absolutely something out of DOOM and I love it.

I do! But he was attached to Superion’s gun, so I snagged that little Maketoys one.

Rattrap is definitely one of those characters where you don’t come for the alt mode, you come for the bot mode.

These new Core Class figures are taking the previous Legends Class figures to the next level. I’ve got both Rattrap and Vertebreak and they both feel so much more detailed than previous incarnations of this similar size. The transformation is more intricate and their articulation is insane for a figure this size. I mean, this guy has got double-jointed knees for cryin’ out loud that can bend AND twist.

This puts some bigger bots to shame. The level of detail on Rattrap is crazy too. That headsculpt looks like it came right outta the TV. Love the sculpted chrome work on the head too.

He’s very well-balanced too. Having multiple leg joints definitely comes in handy. Too bad this advantage doesn’t carry over into his alt mode.


Which, I mean, it’s just a rat. All they really do is skitter around, not much articulation is necessary. But, it works if you’re just trying to be sneaky. The fur detail on Rattrap is subtly exquisite, sculpted in a nice shade of pale grey. I like that they did include paint apps for the inside of his ears and nose and that little dab of white on his eyes is perfect. I think my favorite paint app though is the snowy white patch on his snout that makes him look like he’s been rustling around in the trash. Nice touch!


Rattrap is a fun little figure. I was pleasantly surprised by him. Really my only minor gripe about him is that I wish his shoulder configuration would tab into something in bot mode. Overall though, as small in stature he may be, I think Rattrap will stand just as tall with the rest of his Maximal allies.

Just got Megatron. Megatron Party!

 

If they don't do some Skeleton Warriors stuff in the show, with hordes of these guys + having them merge into things like this, they're missing some easy awesome.

 

King Kong Vs. Barney.

 

Finally found my Grapple. So comparing The size of G1 Inferno with Dinobot.

Now comparing that size with the actual BW Inferno.

What would you think about Dinobot's size with BW Inferno any BW Megatron now?
