The Spike from my Omega Drone-1 is 5cm (2") tall. Here he is with a 12cm (4.74") tall Jinbao Optimus Prime. Sorry about the dust, I haven't cleaned this section of my collection for a few days.

Ohmyprimus is legit as they can get as far as I am concerned. Me and two buddies have been using them for about 2 years. No real complaints other than slow replies to mails, and sometimes gets limited stock on pre orders and you might be left out (I assume that doesnt happen if you pay full price).

TF Robots, I have used once before. Due to the mess at the start of the pandemic the package was lost for three months. After communication with the seller and after making sure on both parts thats its defo lost, he reissued me a refund. A few days later the package shows up. I contact them telling them to issue me a bill to send the money back, onto which he refused because he had it insured on his part so he got his money either way. So I have to say he is legit. I litteraly got a Robot Hero Soundwave and Generations Selects powerdasher for free after all.

Size, painted eyes... that's the oversized Spike that came with MPP10. It makes sense because it was from WJ too.

So...with the big guy coming in soonish,I want to ask: Do I have to watch out for anything in particular? Any known QC Issues?

From what I can tell, none so far. Disclaimer though, I haven't tested any of the electronics other than the light-up feature of the monoeye face, because I don't like leaving batteries in action figures, and Ben mentioned that on his copy some of the electronics didn't work. Be careful when manipulating/installing the forearms for robot mode: there's actually a very specific way to attach the forearms securely, which is to 1) make sure the upper forearms are straight, 2) line up the nubs on the side of the upper arm's connector peg with the matching recesses on the forearm connection point, 3) push the forearms/rocket parts up until you hear a loud click, 4) rotate the forearms so that the "pipes" line up with the elbow joint. Do it any other way and the forearms will pop off very easily. If you do it correctly the forearms won't budge even if you give it a hearty tug. This also means that in a bog standard A-stance, the rotatable plate on his left forearm where you can stick an Autobot logo on will be facing outwards.

Pic to show the correct position:

Thanks a lot man! Thats reassuring to hear, what with the potential issues Gabriel and Terminus are having. I too dont care much for electronics on my figures, just test them (if the batteries are installed) and then remove the batteries and let them be :)

Since you mention the alternate face: How easy/difficult you think it is to change the led of that one to red?

The LED unit inside the alt face is very easy to access and you get to it the same way you install the batteries. The back of the tank turret/bot head has four screws and each face piece has a further two screws. The LED unit is simply sandwiched between the front and back plates of the face piece.

Regarding the issues with Gabriel and TG, I may be mistaken but I suspect it's mostly because of the way they designed the legs and how they connect to the main body. I was immediately turned off by TG once I saw the initial reviews because they made it so that the legs can be removed. With Omega Drone/Ultima Guard the legs are designed to always be attached to the main shell of the body, a lot like Siege Omega with its simplistic but very functional engineering, and each leg has a super solid inner frame, a skeleton if you will. The transformation sequence also means the average end user will never need to take those legs off, which allows the designers to give the figure's lower extremities very sound structural integrity.

Edit: Once you have the figure in your hand and start fiddling with it you'll realize it's really no surprise he can do these poses. The engineering on this dude is very, very good. If I didn't know better I would have believed it if someone told me that the real reason Weijiang got raided was because they designed such a great Omega Supreme and pissed off both FT and DX9.

Τo be honest when the Omega Wars started, I was not into an Omega...So I have missed much of the details. I only recently found source (as much as source Shattered Glass can get) material that depicted Omega Doom (Shattered Glass Omega Supreme) blue....So I checked and found out this and FTs redecos...I think I like this more due to its detailing. And I didnt find any reference anywhere to suggest any QC issues (compared to the others)... Plus everyone was singing praises on how sturdy it is and playable. Watched several videos and I finalized it.I liked it more than the rest despite the....lets face it, the bagback is a bit unsightly..... The price was not bad (compared to the other two) so I opted for this version.
The Hasbro version is just a no from me. Looks too....toyish....

To be honest I never actually cared about Omega as a character. The other titans have always been more interesting in my opinion. Only reason I got an Omega was because I wanted to have a rival for my Devastator and the price was alright, but I got blown away by the figure once I received it. It's easily one of my best purchases ever alongside the TFC Supreme Tactical Commander. And I agree the Siege looks too toyish because it is definitely more toy than collectible, but it's a very fun one:

Reason I got the Siege was because the Ultima Guard was out of stock everywhere and I still wanted a standard deco Omega. The WJ is taller and slimmer but way heavier, while also very similarly articulated and just as stable.

Oh, I never meant to say that its bad looking, nor that its a bad figure in general. Just not what I would like displayed on my collection is all. Plus all my Autobots (except the diaclones) are of the SG variety, so the standard deco would have no place among them (for example I dont even have a 'correct' deco Mp Optimus :p  ) :)

No offense taken mate, and I do think I need to look into SG's bizarro world more. There's some very cool designs in there.

Crazy/weird thing: literally 5 minutes ago, while cleaning my closet, I stepped on the bag containing this Spike. Took it out, was like "wait, what's this?" Was racking my brain for several minutes. Got on TFW, clicked my notifications, and this thread -- randomly bumped for the first time in who knows how long -- has the answer.

Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket, LOL

Maybe, lol! I think the standard deco release did not come with a Spike, which is probably why info on him is kinda scarce, in addition to also not having the extra face plate that we Omega Drone owners get.

I still like this guy very much. This thread reminded me to clean him up!

Unboxed the dude today! Man what a hefty sob! And handsome too! Pics (mine certainly) dont do it justice.
And great quality plastic. I should know, I am an idiotic buffoon and despite the fact that it didnt budge I kept pushing like a madman his backpack 'rail' on the hinge and managed to stress the outer rail. Its a testament to its plastic quality that not only it didnt break but it doesnt look like (despite the marks) will give in anytime soon, and performs its function flawlessly.

I wonder where the heck I shall find Shattered Glass Autobot Insignias though.....

Anyway heres a bad pic of (what I will use him as) Omega Doom:
P.S. Doc bot is an awesome little figure isnt he?

Not seeing any of this guy on Ebay, if I decided to put my MIB 100% complete one up for sale, is $175 + shipping fair to ask?

This design, build and gimmicks is such a giant win ( and destructor).
