Does anyone that has Super Megatron also have an original or reissue Star Convoy they could take a pic of him with? I'm curious if I should start the hunt for a Generations Star Convoy or just make a display with him and my reissue instead? Thanks for the TFSafari link though, that might push me in that direction anyways.

Not getting the Generation Selects Star Convoy?

 

I am very seriously thinking about picking up Super Megatron if he is still in stock by the time my next pay check hits next week. I've heard and seen too many good things about him. I actually had him on pre-order when he first popped up on Pulse but had to cancel him a day before Pulse sent out delayed emails because I had too many other items hitting around the same time.

While I do like Super Megatron, I'm not planning on getting Selects Star Convoy. His robot mode looks good but I just look past that vehicle mode not having that Star Semi Truck mode. Instead I'm eyeing pairing up SM with that upcoming Mastermind Not-Star Convoy.

I bought Star Convoy from TFSafari in March 2020 the same time I pre-ordered Super Megatron from Hasbro Pulse, and I got my Gen Selects Star Convoy in ~30 days to the U.S. with the free shipping option. I wasn't expecting it for like 3-6 months to be honest because of the pandemic.

I think they have expedited shipping that takes like a week.

 

Well their fast shipping option is 4-19 business days for I think $38.

I think I'll stick to Pulse for Super Megs on this one. He's cheaper on there by $20.

 

Can confirm. My Star Convoy took about 10 days to ship to my residence via expedited shipping.

 

I hope I'll get him that fast, but I'll continue to just expect a few months wait. Saves the disappointment.
Still, excited for the opportunity to get Star Convoy to go with Megatron. Always planned to pick him up, but you know how that goes.

 

I ordered one off pulse for $60 two weeks ago and got it in about a week. Very satisfying figure and one of the best G1 or G1ish Megatrons Hasbro has ever made. It also demonstrates my initial feeling about the TR Galvatron mold. That there was a very good figure in there buried beneath the failed gimmicks that dragged it down.

 

Annnd now he's sold out again

Got him from Pulse today. He is so cool, might be my favorite Megatron toy now

 

Is anyone else having issues with tabs or hinges actively pushing themselves outwards? I've gone through 2 Super Megatrons and both have had this issue across the back wings, one kneepad, and one tank tread.

 

The back wings on mine do not tab in at all

 

So I ordered him on the 9th of January. It is now the 26th and Star Convoy arrived.

Mine arrived a few weeks ago but havnt truly dug in yet. Still going through my Siege Megatron phase.

Opened up his multilayered packaging and the golden glow was too bright for my eyes. I’m not ready. lol
He’s on the rainy day shelf for now.

 

You should check for QC issues... there's been reports of either two left (or two right?) tank tread/calfs...

 

That’s the first thing I looked for when I opened it. Was a bit nervous about it.
May have accidentally tformed him as well while checking for flaws.

 

Got lucky, no qc issues or anything on mine. Love this guy, definitely my default megatron from now on.
