got one for Christmas. The transformation is stupid and pointless, but I guess they have to do it for brand fidelity. But who cares about that, it's a damn fine replication of an iconic character that never really got a proper toy before. and I have enjoyed using the lever/switch thing to spin its faces around far more than I ever thought I would. :lol

    Finally found one of these.
The Doubt face snapped on without issue but Rage, well, its named "rage" for a reason. Required a fair amount of force to tab that thing in.
He's surprisingly hefty, solid, and looks the part.
The "transformation" is...abstract, but it is added play value and it doesn't detract from the figure.
Overall very happy with my purchase, he's now ready to pass judgement not just on my Transformers but on all the figures in my collection!

Thanks from me here in 2021, that red head was a straight bitch to get on. My thumb is still sore. I ended up shaving both sides of that tab with a box cutter. A few scrapes did the job.

After giving up on ever seeing this figure in stores and ordering the additional stock that BBTS recently got, I have noticed that the levitation beam stand thingy doesn't sit flush on the throne. The port on the stand doesn't seem deep enough for the post to go all the way in, leaving the figure wobbling a few millimetres above the throne. Any idea how to fix this, besides shortening the post? I'd rather deepen the port, but I'm not sure how I could go about that.

EDIT: Found the earlier discussion on the same topic, and I decided to shave down the post. It only took a few minutes with a electric nail file made for pets ("works great on cats," say the designers who have clearly never met a cat), and the stand now rests securely with no trouble. I was concerned that shaving the post would make the connection even looser, but not an issue at all.

Have never seen one in store or available online at Amazon or Target. Can’t believe it’s in so much demand at the price of $30. Really need it to complete an 86 collection though.

Online listings may drop off after they sell out. Only resellers left on Amazon.

Some Targets did carry wave 3 voyagers. The ones around here never did and went straight to Kingdom instead.

We have local toy stores here that still carry the Judge. TFSource still has him up for pre-order. Some Asian sites still sell him.

    Edit:
TFSafari still has the judge at $40: Transformers Generations War for Cybertron WFC-E22 Earthrise Voyager Quintesson Judge

Thanks! $30 was my max for this statue. I’ll keep a lookout but recognize the beggars can’t be choosers at some point.

Any good comparisons of the Takara version vs the Hasbro release?

It would be exactly the same since brand unification.

Normally yeah, but both the Judge and Allicon were Takara Tomy Mall exclusives, with the Allicon having color differences

that is incorrect, the original colorscheme was a miscolored prototype, the final product is identical to the hasbro one

Yep, what @pokemonsdoom said right there. Outside of some special releases here and there the mainline figures will be the same decos between both companies.

I just got Quintesson this past week so I figured I'd share my experience with the Rage face. The issue seemed to be that the top tab was too wide. I took a pair of pliers to the sides of the tab and squeezed to narrow it up just a teensy bit, probably not even a millimeter. After that it went right in and the face snapped on. Kinda sucks a brand new toy has a tolerance issue like this.

I must have gotten really lucky, I just got mine today and no issues getting either of the faces on.

I hope they put out a 3rd deco of this thing so I can have 3 different ones sitting in judgement.

Never saw him in the wild either. Came close I guess by finding his wavemate Megatron at Target once.
Am puzzled how so many found ER Megatron in the wild but never saw a Quint.
Gave in and bought him for $40 from an Amazon reseller.

This guy deserves a second release like they did with SS Mixmaster.
People have been waiting 35 years for an official Quint, then it finally happens with poor distribution and during the pandemic.
Even the wave 2 deluxes barely made it out. Had to get mine from Aldis, which includes Arcee, who's getting a repack for Kingdom.

Never once found any. oh well.

Hasbro's fault for creating false rarity and short supply knowing full well all the fuckers out there are gonna buy 3-5 at a time.

They should have released way way more of these dudes.

Too bad for me. I'll never own one. RIP I guess...

I never saw these or ER Megatron in stores. Hasbro Pulse had a restock of these last week so I bought two to go with my Pit of Judgment set. The red faces on both were a pain so I googled Quintesson red face problem and no crap, this thread turned up. I followed the unscrewing tip and now they're all set. Thanks fellow TF fans for the assistance!

I’ve had my Quintesson since October of last year. I had to have it because of the role they played in Transformers history and I’m very glad Hasbro made them happen. Never bothered to open him since what you see is what you get and there are a lot of other more exciting toys to open up first. Finally it’s the end of January and I’m out of toys to open so it’s the Quintesson’s turn.

It is actually a pretty good toy. The look and size is perfect. Spinning faces, perfect. Each face painted fairly well and some even have moving jaws. Mounts easily on the energy levitation beam, then sits on his chair. What more can I ask for?!? The gun was a funny touch but he did use one on the cartoon, so I’m glad they included it. The transformation was just a bonus nothing, who really cares. Over all it’s exactly what I wanted for a Quintesson Judge. I highly recommend this to any old school TF fan. It’s not going to be fun for newer TF collectors without the nostalgia.
