...yeeeah, pulled the trigger. You f**kers "made" me buy one too. Already shipped. Damn shenaniganizers and your camera phones!!! 2nd time posting this pic in a day, mah bad. JUST finished commenting on Bee, though; hell yeah B2 needs a 2nd take (too bad he wasn't MP-52; B52! Okay, I'm old. ). He blends perfectly now. Same as this Arcee release; better seen in-hand. Short-comings no doubt, but a MP essential as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully a reissue will resolve the 2019 plastic issue.
Years of posing my mainline retail figures have prepared me for this day. Hopefully, more to come. Just need some inspiration. I don't consider myself of a higher caliber, still just a hobbyist. Your photos are fantastic, too. Thanks! From looking at just the preproduction photo, I knew she had potential. Arcee was the original Transformers dreamgirl. I don't think they'd want me. I take too much time to get just ONE single shot to my liking. By the time I finish one product, the line would've finished. Looking forward to some photos for some inspiration. Sadly, some people already had an opinion drilled into their heads, and nothing will change their minds, even after getting her in-hand. Thanks, I should probably start planning another shoot with other figures too. I regret nothing, and you deserve it.
This is the first MP thread that truly embraces the articulation and character that these new MPs embody, without being sunk by QC issues (Prime's knees, Hound's crumblyness), and it's truly glorious to behold! Takara embue personality and life into these better than any other company. It's clear to see how much joy she's bringing from all your photos. Hell by the time I get mine I don't even know if there will be any original poses left to do. But I'll still try. Keep it up folks!
I shaved a bit around the hinge because the left side was not as smooth as the right and I think it's a lot smoother now. The hinge had extra pink paint or plastic that was making it stuck and pin might be off because the corner of the joint presses ever slighty on the left side. I just wish I could erase the white mark.
Third time's the charm! There is a tiny adjustment I need to do to the top of the forehead where it meets the crest but otherwise I think it fits pretty damn well. Next up is paint testing. Nose kinda glows in unpainted resin, making it look a little bigger but I think it'll look right once it's painted (if not, shrinking it will take like 5 seconds). If I'm happy with the painted look, I'll move on to doing the other expressions.
Damn Snaku, you did it again. When I scrolled down this page and saw your grey faces, my heart skipped a beat. Totally creeped out by these “Doctor Who monster” faces. Lol. I’m sure they look normal once painted up. It’s amazing what 3D printers can do.
my honest word. Do like the manual. Nothing fear of breaking. Or if you are worried , TMReview and Paik got you
She seems very backpack heavy. It’s really hard to stand her as she wants to be pulled back due to all that weight behind her. But, this is what I could pull off for now. Not much, but I tried.
Twist the thighs above the knees, and go hard on the ankle tilts. Make sure the feet are 100% flat touching the floor, too, because they deceive you easily. You'll find it works wonders
It seems very hard to tilt them. Paul’s video didn’t really explain how to get them out. Seems like a tough task. The thighs above the knees are very tight as well.
The ankle rockers should just 'work'. Like any other figure. The thighs are a bit tight, but it's a consequence of having the swivel mid-thigh rather than at the hip socket. The hip dislocation bit, for the crossed leg poses, is a press of the inner thigh button and a little jiggle at the hip. Kind of an up and down and out thing.
