Yeah a member above my post said maybe Gigawatt would be coming out January 8th and perhaps Hasbropulse use the YYYY/DD/MM format ? Which I knew was not true

Has the TFW2005 staff posted their top picks of 2020 yet?

I'd like to see if Gigawatt made the list.

We submitted them, idk when it’ll be published. Gigawatt was in my runners up list, but not my actual pick for figure of the year

I’m sorry, Super Megatron won for me; gotta support my boy! But Gigawatt was still in my top 5 official of the year, so that’s a great achievement!

Gigawatt is really nice. Got it for my son for Christmas and he could not believe that I got him. He keeps playing with him and a few others that I traded for (thanks TyrantGalvatron!!!) If anyone needs one, I have an extra one for trade.

Got my Gigawatt. I'm a MP collector but i think he'll be a fun addition, as well as other earthrise figures like runabout/runamuck that may never get MP treatment.

I've settled on a storyline in my head that runamuck/runabout are the unfortunate consequence of a time travel paradox gone wrong, caused by gigawatt. Put them all next to each other and it works.

Cool figure, with mad early-MP Hasui vibes.

I like the idea that Gigawatt can work with any TF display/continuity, he’s like this franchise’s Stan Lee cameo or Deadpool appearance lol. At least, in my head cannon he is :lol

I’m gonna put mine with my Kingdom guys. I like to think that he was created by the Maximals as a counter to Predacon transwarp technology, and that the guy who created him was an Earth culture nerd

Ah shit. I dropped the figure at the critical moment while transforming the chest and the back of the head scraped off my carefully-protected-until-then numbers. :(

On a different note, since I felt the lighting rod was too flimsy and the Mr. Fusion was too prone to getting lost, I found that Battlemasters Lionizer makes a very fitting weapon for the figure since the black, grey and blue match so well.
Also, anyone turn the wheels on the lower legs so they face forwards in robot mode?

Speaking of Hasbro loving to get extended use out of their molds.... There's a couple of single use molds still out there.
For example: ROTF Jetfire turned into Xpanse (had honestly forgotten about his single use)

And since you brought this up (i'm sure someone else has thought of this) there's another big single use mold that would fit here:
    Astrotrain -> BTF3 train

Not sure if they'll do it since it's not as famous as the delorean, but you never know. I'd think they would need to do something about his triple changing though.

He's back in stock on Walmart's website. Free shipping on orders over $35. Should have him by next week.

that would be a very heavy retool of Astrotrain but I'd go for that!

I don't think it'd be any more of a heavy retool than Jetfire to X-spanse

i am on my second One and possibly 3rd return. I bought one from gamestop and the right back wheel broke off. while transforming it into hover mode (flying mode) so i returned it to the store. i got another one and now when i notice on this one the front wheels seem warp and are really really loose you can shake them while in hover mode (flying mode) , and the back ones are tight but when in car mode they seem to be warped. not sure why that is
has anyone experience this problems or and am i the only one. also too i can't read the dates that are on chest in robot mode they seem to be worn down. and i have only transformed this thing once. and got this figure a couple of days ago.

and even he could've used more of retool to match the wings. but alas...

Anyway, they could probably do it, drop all the extra armory stuff and he might actually be a little cheaper than his leader tag. Would be interesting! (Perhaps a big reveal at the end of the current crossover comic?)

If you're referring to a hypothetical BttF Astrotrain retool, the costs of the license and the work to retool it in to an accurate train would likely make it more than the Leader point, even if they cut most of the accessories. But here's the thing: The BttF train had that tender car along with the engine. And given the way it attaches to Astro, it would actually work really really well in a hypothetical BttF retool because it'd allow you to strap the signature black engine blocks on the bot mode's back.

I think some of the cost of the Studio line is making up for the molds being more difficult to reuse. Keep in mind that Studio figures were the first to set the new $20/$30/$50 MSRPs for their respective pricepoints, and were smaller than many of their Prime Wars contemporaries.
