Just the impression I think we've always had for the order of the trio and how they flow I guess. Like "Huey, Dewey, and Louie" and "Mo, Larry, and Curly", it just feels right to say "Starscream, Skywarp, and Thundercracker".

Huh. I was always more of a "Starscream, Thundercracker, & Skywarp" kind of guy.

I do wish Skywarp got more frequent and earlier releases. HasTak knows people like his colors and are gonna want to get the full set, so he's often relegated to exclusives and it's sad to see. I think the MP Starscream looks good, but I wish the blue were darker on TC.

 

Starscreams the one with delusions of grandeur, Skywarp is the loyal idiot, and Thundercracker is the guy that sticks around because they have free beer and pizza

 

That's 3 MP's for 2021 so far (if they all indeed make it this year). This is awesome!

 

That's what I'm thinking as well. It may be all 3 seekers this year. As I've said a few times I'm guessing that Raiden is taking up a lot of design time so having several repaints this year keeps us happy while they finish Raiden.

And my dream is that they keep going with the Coneheads and Skids repaints next year while they work on Devastator.

I guess TT would have to reveal Starscream 3.0 first. That's usually the way it works.

Shit, it's like they're retconning Reflector out of the toon entirely so they never have to make an MP of him.

Well if Takara doesn't start selling these stands separately fuck it I hope a KO company makes the stands in purple, ridiculous that they aren't included with the release. They've already 'upped' the budget in some way by using two different shades of transparent plastic for the thrust effects, which is appreciated, but c'mon

 

It doesn't really matter which one they release, last one out is always the shelfwarmer. They couldn't give MP-7 away, Generations TC clogged the shelves, then FOC Deluxe and CW Leader Skywarp wouldn't get out of the way for months. About the only exception to the rule was the Hasbro MP releases, MP Skywarp was mad clearanced at Walmart, and TRU Thundercracker was a bit hard to get for some.

 

I wonder what single animation cel the colors were based on.

 

Expected of course but not this soon, even if I were into seekers outside of Starscream I'd want to see how he turned out before I PO'd a second. As for Thundercraker not having a stand... some of you guys clearly haven't been paying attention to the BW side of the line, stands only get included when TT wanna pad out a release to 'justify' the price, they expect you're MPs to share them. I imagine TC and SW will be cheaper than SS due to the reduction in accessories... you'd hope so right!?

 

It isn't the first time Takara released a figure that had a stand adapter or a place to plug in a stand in, only to have it be only compatible with a stand that came out with a previous 200+ figure, so don't really see the reason for outrage now.
