I'm hoping his price on their store is closer to their Athena price instead of BBTS's current price.

 

I was leary at first when they prototyped it like it were simply a recolor of the Minerva mold with the feminine proportions. Now it's officially the male character. He just needs the trenchcoat and fedora, with the Bird Icon.

 

I wouldn't bet on the price dropping through their site. Athena was a bait car.

 

I hate to say it, because they did a decent amount of remolding... but I think it needed just a little more remolding. That pentagonal belly panel just doesn't suit Nightbeat for me, and I feel like the chest panel could have been still more squared off.

I mean, both of those are minor complaints next to the fact that the damn thing still partsforms, but whatever.

I am on the fence. On one hand I like Nightbeat a lot, and his colors always look good. But this mold... ugh...

 

Would I like a bit more remoulding? Absolutely.
Would I like perhaps a different eye colour? Absolutely.
Would I like a more accurate mould? Absolutely.

But this is the very first 3rd party Nightbeat and outside of a repaint of an Energon figure and a Bumblebee, Hasbro also has shown no interest. I'm most likely going to buy this just because I want a Nightbeat and this is the only option.

(If only MMC had given us a Reformatted version...)

Yeah that face could definitely use some revisions imo.

 

Got to admit I want a Nightbeat for my Lost Light crew. Those red eyes are a deal breaker for me there though. I can get by other issues but for me to buy the figure he needs the correct face.

 

If the tabbing issues are fixed I'm comepletly in on this  

 

Kinda miss some of the grey.

Also, Nitewalker makes it sound like he is turning tricks on the corner of the shady end of Cybertron.

 

That's one of his covers as he's collects information. How far he takes it is not to be discussed here.

 

Him and Deep Cover having cat scratching, helmet pulling turf fights because they're both a little too method in their work.

 

Pre-ordered mine from TCP earlier today! As for the name, never doubt his commitment to Sparkle Motion.  

 

Blue visor would've been a nice option but I preordered at BBTS anyway.

 

He looks good enough to me. I don't see anyone else attempting to make this guy in the near future. Bring on their Hosehead to complete the set! (Still praying for Maketoys to finish their last 2 headmasters)

 

Maybe if they'll include a third face option with Siren, or perhaps if they ever do a Nightbeat colored Athena.

They did it before; packing in smiling faces for the all the monsterbots with FlyPro.

 

I would buy this mold as an orange and purple repaint that represents the Decepticon Micromaster Skystalker.
