In the showz thread they said the price on the preorders will be $99 USD and that the price might be increasing in 15 days

Preorders now up on ShowZ at $99 each. Release dates all say Q2 2021 so had better change. I'm really into the set but $600 is a big step up from their (Zeta's) previous stuff. Not sure whether to wait until a box set

I just don't think I can buy into this until I know that the legs can be put on the correct sides

Uhm I was hoping for a lower price, especially considering the chance that it's going to increase.

just wait for repaint in a set with better colour, fixing issue for 1st batch, etc.
Zeta always do that to milk the mold.
To be honest, even this time Zeta don't release again later, won't be a lost for me, since I barely know this Raiden guy.

XTB's Menasor is around/just under 20 inches. It is designed to scale with Zeta combiners, so it should scale fine with this one.

The leg guns must be separate pieces - there's nowhere for them to store in bot or alt mode. The question is, do they act as support for joints in any way? I'd suggest not, but we won't know until later.

i was thinking about that this morning but then i thought, what if this combiner isn’t popular enough for them to a second version..?

For me it's not a big deal, which I said earlier since I have no attachment to this character.
If you think it's a must-have, sure, go ahead and pre-order.
But after XTB trailer event and Zeta combiner repaint/re-issue, I would rather wait for full set instead of pre-order combiners now.

I was wondering that too. They teased it and then nothing. Way more interested to that than this.

Zeta does that. I got hooked with Constructor. Ordered their Superion (And I DONT Collect Mp toon deco Autobots).

Too early to pay for the order!
There is no more concrete information about this full size set.

Geez I'm so torn on this set! It looks great but I have no real connection to the characters or toys or even Japanese G1 in general. I eventually watched it but I had to wait for the internet to be created and refined before I could do that so it really doesn't resonate the way the early G1 stuff does (except for Overlord, I have an irrational love of G1 Overlord!). And that $600+ price tag is a big matzo ball!

    Ugggggh! It really looks good!

I'm with ya, friend-- on the exact same boat. I've been a TF fan since 1984, and I just learned about Raiden a few weeks ago. I have no nostalgic connection to these train bots at all, and even now I haven't watched the show. I know nothing about them. Yet they look fantastic, and despite the steep price and my complete indifference to combiners, I'm seriously considering pre-ordering.

Your top link appears to be broken but MK1 was my first exposure to "Raiden" as well!

Thanks, switch to a different image.
It's Fatal Fury Raiden, also named Big Bear in Fatal Fury 2. :)

Oh hell yeah! To be honest, I thought it was gonna be the dude from Big Trouble in Little China :) ! He probably has a different name but in my Head cannon after MK1 hit, that was Raiden, lol!
