That's Keith's Folks trying to justify their purchase.

Why don't they just say that an AFA G1 Menasor would be 10K and therefore anything Keith has coming out is cheap compared to that.

 

Point is the same. Folk's unhappy with XTB pricing on the trailer, Locke, & we have to assume Virtus in the future are going "Screw paying that much! We'll....pay as much or even more for someone else's springer."

 

I hope MMC will suddenly reissue Springer for 140 to bring Keith down from his pedestal.

UT's last release will be Nero.

 

I think UT Springer didn't do so well. Last time BBTS had to do a clear out at 70 bucks or something.

 

Speak for yourself. I (and many other smart folks) bought that thing at retail. If it cost almost $200, I'd have been fine sticking with my $70 Allen that looks freaking awesome in both vehicle modes and still looks pretty good as a robot, or with my Open Play Spring for $60 which looks pretty good in all three modes, and been done with it. For $180 I could literally have three MP scaled Springers, one in each mode, even on the aftermarket... because some things are worth less than retail over time.

Also, this is apples to oranges because MMC hasn't demonstrated a trend of hiking their MSRPs. The fact that their stuff gains value on the aftermarket is a totally separate thing.

 

At least Saltus, in comparison, has a reason to go for that much on the market, primary or secondary, haha.

WAS gonna pick up MP Sunstreaker for that money (unfortunately), but since I may be able to find him for cheaper, that money is definitely gonna go towards Saltus.

And this is from me, who's still going to get Virtus as (hopefully) my definitive Springer.

Sunstreaker IS amazing and probably the best carbot, but you’ll probably always have an easier time finding Takara stuff late than any third party.

 

MMC did raise the price on Saltus with the 2nd run. $10 to $20 depending on where you got it.

Just saw this on the XTB page in the comments for the most recent Monolith/Menasor product shots. Fingers crossed.

 

But I will also say that XTB is trying to hit hard before Chinese New Year, The trailer is shipping out now with the Accessory pack and Locke... LOCKED in for January. This guy will probably be shown this month but then hit in or around March.

 

That's my expectation too. "Coming up this month" could definitely mean final production samples going out to photographers etc. and still a month or two out from actual release.

 

That's what I personally got from the post as well. Especially with CNY, I don't expect Springer till either March or April. But I do hope final solicitation images go up as planned by this month.

 

XTB definitely starting out the year with a bang. Trailer, Locke, and then Virtus.

Rest of the year, they'll revert back to recolors and reissues.

 

Probably not, They got Omnibots and Protectobots coming down the pipeline.

But there will defiantly still be repaints. They still have 2 other stunticon sets to finish.

 

Dr. Easter Egg. Complete with floral pattern and extra faces wearing rabbit ears.

 

I incorrectly predicted at the start of 2020 that it would be their biggest and best year yet which... Didn't quite pan out as I'd imagined  

So... 2021: the year Keith strikes back!  

Trailer, Locke, Virtus, Eligos, Streetwise, Omnibots, the remaining Youth and G2 Stunticon repaints, plus whatever KFC branded stuff they have left to do (at this point I don't know why they still have two brands). If they can get even two thirds of those released with minimal issues, they'll have gone some way to erasing the shit show of 2020. Maybe half of those is more realistic though
