Much appreciated, needed it for another thread where someone said that the Cliffjumper/Bumblebee mold doesn't have anything that justifies deluxe price

Seems to me that Bee is just big. I don't know what we can expect for a bunch of 10 dollar characters, but I like this core line more than I thought. It does suck that they don't scale appropriately.

Honestly, these are just more for fun (to me) as I really like the way the rest of the WFC lineup has scaled. I think Jetfire is the only one that seems off of scale in the WFC lineup.

The only thing that sucks about Netflix Bee is that he's a Walmart exclusive. If you are a fan of the WFC show then he's a must have! Plus he scales really well.

His transformation is the exact same as Cliffjumper, but it's totally not a repaint as a lot of the pieces are remodeled. I was happy to get it when I finally found him.

haha... that guy totally removed them or that picture is completely flush... I promise there is no where for those puppies to go. This is when they are pulled back 90 degrees.

I wanted to add that these wings don't fold, you are seeing the only bend they have and there is no articulation that would allow it to transform otherwise.

There aren't joints that would allow it and there wouldn't be enough room in the front cab if they did fold.

Yeah I understand. My first Transformers was Bumper (who I just thought was Bee back then) and that is what this car mode looks like to me. In the 80's we didn't get cartoon accurate toys very often. I think that is why a lot of us are going nuts for this whole WFC lineup.

TF Animated and G1 are eons apart in looks, so I can understand if you are huge into the movies or TF Animated, you might have zero interest in the 1980's stuff.

I wish for something like this:
    upload_2021-1-4_19-39-49.png
That's the best legion / legends scale figure Hastak have ever produced. It's doable. I don't fully understand why they don't do it. No one expects a whole lineup of G1 car bots, but can't they give us a bee and jazz / Datsun maybe?

Oh, but I am into some 80's stuff. Optimus design for example is timeless perfection. I grew up with Beast Wars. So that's where my nostalgia lies. IMO sunbow gave birth to the designs and rough character traits. Animated gave them souls so to speak. TFA Megatron, Blitzwing and Bumblebee are the only animated characters that vastly improved on their original designs. Megatron really needed to look more intimidating and Bumblebee less ugly and more cool

I have this weird theory that heroes are only as good as their villain counterparts (and likewise). Luke to Vader and so on. I have always loved Optimus, but I loved Megs too.

I loved the Starscream and Megs rivalry growing up. Somehow they made Megatron feel more like a leader by taking an even more sinister jerk like Starscream to constantly try to overthrow him.

G1 Megatron from the cartoons was always cool, but I feel like the recent IDW Comics really fleshed him out and added a lot of depth.

WFC Netflix Megatron in the show is complex, but a lot more bloodthirsty and stubborn than recent versions. Still that makes me want Optimus to kick his ass even more. Clearly they kept a lot of the backstory of the mines and the colosseum.

Anyways, that is why I like good villains! Good villains make you cheer for the hero when they finally overcome.

Adding Combaticon Blast Off and Micromasters Fuzor/Blastmaster make it even worse, as all four's Shuttle altmode would be the same size.

I'm glad the headsculpt diesn't look as bad as when the first pictures popped up. That ballon headed, blubber jaw look that MP 45 has is terrible!

The positive aspects you mention about G1 Megatron sound like head cannon to me. In the cartoon he was arrogant and aggressive. No depth. The relationship with Starscream is never explained, except by you and the general consensus

I totally agree with your villain / hero thing, but G1 megs is a terribly depicted villain in my book. However, back than it was normal for cartoons to suck and it was up to the viewer to make it good (head cannon). This is the only way one can enjoy the movies too haha

But enough of this off topic stuff. Thank you for your back and forth. Been a pleasure

the thing about g1 megs is he and optimus have been leaders for almost the entire war which has been raging on for thousands of years so their characters are completely set in stone by the point we see them theres no growth or lessons needed which worked in that they were the definitive autobot and decepticon that the others wanted to be or live up to.

bumblebee is decent enough but id really only be buying this for spike, if they sold the minifigures from the masterpiece line separately id go all in as i really want humans to go along with my wfc shelves but with this...

bumblebee will probably go in a drawer which makes it harder to justify buying this at full price

I picked this up today. I love the card art for this so much, I almost don't want to open.

I love the Illustrations of this Earthrise stuff!

Just realized Hasbro already settled the debate.

    He's a Core class figure.
