Look, I'm not trying to get into an argument, but if you can't follow the conversation I'm sorry. You accepted the comparison to the powerdashers enough to comment more than once on it and now that you don't want to admit that they're really not accurate updates you want to paint me as someone that is changing the topic (despite the fact that I also was keeping on topic for the tangent with you by bringing it back to the deluxe insecticons)? The deluxe insecticons are no more "deserving" of unique molds than the powerdashers. They're nobodies, even more so than most of the nobodies that barely pop up in the toon

 

Maybe the Insecticons could be the new weaponizers! I also want modern Insecticons- those three plus Buzzsaw are all that's missing in my '84 Decepticons collection. :-/

I wasn't talking about anyone deserving anything.
I just meant that if they wanna do the guys there's little point in doing them as slight retools or simple redecoes of the toon Insecticons, cause not being in the toon means their main appeal is in their designs looking more like robotic insects than the toon guys whose shtick is that their alt modes are vehicles that resemble insects.

 

Oh sorry, your specific word was "require" not "deserve". Them being alternate uses of the toon insecticons would be no less accurate than using the weaponizers for the powerdashers. This is all moot though because none of these characters will be likely in Studio Series 86 anyway.

 

i just hope next year commander is armada optimus , and that they give us at least hot shot, red alert, jetifre, demolishor, cyclonus, megatron and starscream , is only 8 figures i am not even asking for the full armada cast just the main one , and such guys have a high repaint potential with their power up mode and energon repaints, each one has basically 3 to 4 potential repaints

on each line for year between deluxe to commander we have like 32 slots plus exclusives , i am just asking for 25 percent of that
who knows maybe

core hot shot, cyclonus i would prefer this 2 deluxe but probably they want those slots for g1 so i would take anything now

No I doubt those guys'll show up in SS.

 

Would be nea if we'd also get the Insecticons in this line. Don't get me wrong, I love the previous scout\legend class guys from T30\Prime Wars, but I also think the characters would make for some cool ER Cliffjumper style mini-deluxes.

While we're at mini-deluxes, why not SS86 Brawn? He doesn't have to come with any accessories, just put all his budget into making the figure as solid and hefty as possible for its size. The guy's supposed to be one of the strongest Autobots after all, his toy should feel like it.

Oooh, insectoid Weaponizers would be awesome! I was just watching a review of Kingdom Blackarachnia and though to myself "Gee, I wonder how her spider legs would look on other bots".

 

Don't forget Smokescreen! I also want the first 4 Autobots and Decepticons from Armada made. If we can get all the S1 Maximals in one year we can get these 8 characters.

My fear is they'll just give us a random assortment of characters from the UT. I only care about Armada, that was my G1. I don't care about any one from Cybertron and I don't think anyone gives a single shit about Energon.

Hope we get Insecticons in SS86 too! The Legends ones we have now are mediocre at best. I'd love to see them in Deluxe scale.

 

I would KILL to have that Wonderfest Optimus come with a trailer and be a Commander, and I don’t even like Armada Prime that much. I’ll buy Jetfire too, if they combine. Also, what about a a relatively large Weaponizer Tidal Wave to combine with Megatron? That would be awesome.

On the topic of SS86, wreckgar39 said over in his leaks thread that a new Blaster might actually end up happening in 2022. Do we think that'll be in SS86 or whatever the Generations line is called at that point? Also, he received no word on tapes. Do we think those will be in the pack as well, and if so, should they be retools of Soundwaves or not?

Personally, I hope Blaster's a new mold that may reuse certain parts from Soundwave, but is the height of OP like in the cartoon. I'd hope for cassettes the same size as SW's, obviously wish they were new molds, but that's unlikely, and the Rumble mold will work fine for Eject and Rewind. I doubt he'll be in SS86, unless there are new deluxes we don't know about. Always possible though.

 

Maybe it's obvious in one of the previous 55 pages of this thread, but are there any leaks or official confirmations about what comes next for this line? Most of the key players have been covered here or in WFC so I'm unsure what would be next.

Id love to see a mini MP 44! I hope they can give him an "A" faceplate not a "v" faceplate this time, a longer trailer, and all the accesories. I would gladly pay Commander price for him.
