Im surprised to not see any combinations with Paleotrex and Greaspit. Those two would work well together when you think about it.

This is a very underrated comment.

 

Keep playing around with the Fossilzers and still just getting giddy joy out of them. Hell, now I am coming up with backstories and character traits for them... which is why I truly think non-show figures need to come back as that was always the best thing as a kid with a non-show toy: creating your own character.

The one thing I do wish though? I want a Third Party company like Nonnef to make weapon heads for their tail weapons. Axe heads, mace heads, spear heads, so on.

Paleotrex is so much fun to mess with and I'm digging these new characters that turn into dinosaur fossils, I'd imagine them being super brutal in battle.

 

Damn, that’s the only thing I can think of that’s missing (having only gotten to like the fifth episode of beast wars, at least). Hopefully someone will make some sort of double-hinge add-on part.

 

I haven't found any Kingdom stuff yet, but I'm hoping a Radicon will discover a way to make BW-Megatron's tail detacheable from his left forearm before I manage to find one myself.

The shoulder guns being his jets was an animation error in an episode or 2 anyway, the jets came out of the center of his back and many times he used them while also having the shoulder guns deployed

 

Fossilizing robot modes is so passé.

The dynamic height adjustment of Beast Megatron's dino alt mode is quite impressive:

Yet, get fairly low to the ground and still interact with Core class figures:

Once in hand, you'll see that's not possible without doing major modding or damage. The forearm is not its own separate piece. It's molded together with the tail framework as one single piece. Even if you could take off the bigger tail chunk off his forearm, the basic framework will still be there, including anything else attached to it (the large and small tail pieces at the end).

The outline shows how big that single piece is. The only thing within the outline that is not part of it is the hand; it's attached by a simple pin (but effectively one way) to allow for accessories plugged into the hand to clear the tail. The arrow shows what I'm assuming is a flathead pin on the other side (could be screw but flathead pin is more likely).


Another view shows the molding goes past the forearm part to attach to the big tail chunk.

 

Not sure Fossilizers are my thing....
But these pics are making me re-consider.
