I know this is sorta premature & fluid - but do you happen to know if there has been discussions on a vaccine passport for attendance? For those not knowing, this is a new concept that would draw information from your medical records to provide information that you are vaccinated & thus less communicable to transmit in a crowd.

Something to pair this inquiry with - will there be Transformers-theme Medical Masks available?

Just to clarify - I'm asking from a position of what I would need to attend vs. a debate. Every convention I attend now has significant groups of attendees now asking similar questions. Just hope it is something the convention folks can address officially, when ready to, for us.

Hopefully we won't need them but I think it's too early to be asking these questions. We don't know what things will look like in three months let alone by the time the convention is live. It's a constantly evolving situation. I'd say check back a couple of weeks prior to the convention.

I'm still cautious as it IS Baltimore & there seems to be some vaccination issues vs. the balance of the state. Not been there for a decade since Otakon & wonder what is left of the Inner Harbor.

 

Marylander here. We are slowly but surely easing back and our state generally listens to the experts and doesn't cry about "mUh LibERtiEz" I fully expect this to be a go and I will meet you all at Jimmy's for some crab cakes or better yet at Chap's pit beef!!!

 

I am down for Chap's. A big NO for the crab cakes as I am deathly allergic to shell fish.

By October the vaccination rate should be very close to what it needs to be; they may still have a mask request for the dealer room as it will be close quarters and it will be the beginning of flu season and potential COVID issues still. I will be masked up mostly for the flu benefits. Flu was almost no existent last fall/winter due to the mask wearing. Keeping my eyes peeled for when tickets go up for sale; typically mid-June to early-July from past years. Wonder what the exclusives will be? Looking forward to communing with the community.

Booked the hotel room November of last year. Grabbed my premium pass and T-shirt minutes ago. Just need the exclusives to drop and October to get here.

Now I just need to figure out what I am going to have silk screened on to a mask for the event. Not necessarily for COVID concerns but for less chance of getting the flu.
