Does anyone know of a printable 5mm compatible arm gun similar to the arm smokestacks from Armada Prime?
That's pretty neat. I remember wanting a similar head for the MP figure... and being told no one was interested.
Okay so quick update, I gave it a pass in resin. I'm going to have to tweak my settings or something because something's going on with the left eye for each of them. But it's already a big jump in quality over the plastic printed parts
Okay I think I nailed it the second time around. Now to strip paint while I wait for my new paints to arrive through Amazon.
It occurred to me to change it too. I just didn't have the expertise to make it look good. I wanted to do something a little bit more rectangular shaped but couldn't figure out how to get it filled in right. It is slightly longer than the crest on the smaller head though.
Okay so I use the less successful resin prints to do a rough color mock-up. I'm still waiting on some white spray paint to come in but I've hand-painted the helmets for now. I've not done anything from the waist down other than go ahead and reassemble it for the most part. I need to figure out what I'm going to do with the legs, and I have paint drying on the leg armor before I can start painting on it some more. Ran out of sunlight, so my painting today is done. Decided to be a little bit lazy and go ahead and just leave the bumper of the truck as-is, other than the new faction symbol
If you update an already existing post, NOBODY is getting a notification for that. So unless somebody scrolls back up like I just did, they won't see the changes in that post except they haven't seen the post at all to that point of time. So if you make progress it's better to just make a new post instead of adding it to an already existing one. The only thing users in here sometimes do is update the first post of their threads and tell people about it in a newer one. Or link to older and newer posts.
This project is nearing completion. I'm only waiting on some white spray paint so I can finish up the inner robot's legs and crotch. Then I'll paint up the better printed heads, do a little bit of detailing, and post the finished pictures. Technically the outer armor is already completely done but since that's the more impressive mode, it's going to be a little underwhelming for me to post that and then the completed inner robot a week later
Okay I got it done. Inner robot is finished up to my satisfaction, and the picture of the full armor is from earlier in the week.
That looks really good. If Hasbro really are doing SG figures as per the drunken leaks, then I hope they steal your idea.
I hope they steal my idea too. I love shattered glass and I would love to have more figures without having to put in as much work.
