This is my take on the Gobot fembot, Sparky, who turned into a Ford Fiero, a small sports car from the 80's. And i can attest to the size, having ridden in one in my teen years. I used an oversized Combiner Wars Hotrod, with various parts from other figures to give her a more Fiero-ish look.
The first time around, the left shoulder broke. I ordered another figure from Sir Toys, pre pandemic, so the wait wasn't too long. Replaced the broken part and here you go.

Unfortunately, during the photo shoot and transformation, the same joint broke again. Sassafrass!

Anyway, enjoy, happy new year. Comments, questions and criticism is welcome.

I don't know who sparky is, but I get lots of Turbo vibes from him.

Thanks for the reply. The mold would make a passable Turbo. I posted a Turbo a couple months ago, check him out.

The shoulder on my Deception version broke in the same place. I think it gets "sticky" when left alone for a fair amount of time (maybe temperature makes the plastic expand?) causing too much friction, resulting in it snapping when moved.

Great work! The mold choice is spot on and the paint looks official.

Fiero is a pontiac by the way (not Ford)

Maybe. I sanded it to minimize rub, and thus catching, but to no avail. Seems like a product defect to me. I feel your pain. I have an oversized Blackjack for a custom, and now I'm not sure what to do to prevent this in the future. Maybe drill a small hole and insert a pin for support.

That’s awesome. You nailed the Gobot look while updating it. The “chrome” head especially. Nice work.

Love the figure. I had a (used) '86 Fiero GT that I loved; hopefully Sparky is much easier for Rest-Q (or you) to repair than my pain-in-the-tailpipe Fiero was.

The modified mold look great as a Pontiac Fiero. Like how the transformation and roof have been altered to get closer to the original look. The weathering works great as well. Wondering if the same mods with some additional parts would make a good Punch/Counterpunch.

It might, last I checked, the figure was still available on Sirtoys. Part og the roof and rear engine compartment mod was done with the intention of giving her a "chest", to make her look more feminine.

Same here bro! Thanks! Although once Scorp's done with her, it may not matter (hint at future post.)

Looks good! I had Sparky back in the day; but I usually kept her in my fanmode of a vague jet (pull out the arms on the double-hinge as vague wings, flip up the feet as tailerons)

Nicely done! I was going to use an Earthrise Cliffjumper for Sparky...not much "Fiero" there, but it's the right size and has the torso roof.

Great work. How you get the front to turn?
