KO has a much better voice feature because it’s actually David Kaye, also if it’s anything like the two I’ve handled it won’t be able to transform to dinosaur mode no matter how long you massage the panels.

 

There are a few other tells, but the KO has translucent light up dino eyes instead of opaque eyes like the genuine toy.

Just got this and all I can say it’s amazing overall. Scary initially to transform but help with Wotafa’s video on YouTube helped immensely. Only downside is I don’t know how to get that one side of the tail panel to tab in. Seems to securely tab one side but not the other. Anyone knows how?

 

If you're talking about the robot mode arm and tail the tab near the elbow requires quite a bit of force to tab in

 

The trick with the tail is to get his left hand folded up just right so it fits properly. The tail doesn’t want to tab together if the hand isn’t right. I struggle with that on mine as well but I believe Wotafa shows how the hand folds up? Or maybe Emgo?

 

Is there a really high quality KO of this with colors really close to the original?

 

I can only speak for the first run KO which wasn’t great. Mine physically could not finish transforming into dinosaur mode as several of the tabs and slots were sized incorrectly. It also had a couple of the pieces used to lock the robot mode parts into place installed upside down. If you’re looking for a solid action figure of BW Megatron it’s worth it as you can just glue the loose transformation parts into place.

 

I did just that but still no cigar. One side would always slightly pop out of it. It's probably Wotafa'a vid but again it's in Japanese so translation issues lol

 

Is this the beginning of the dreaded crotch crack? Or just a small paint defect? It doesn't feel rough to the touch.

That swirl is always there.

There is no "start" of the dreaded crotch crack. It's either there or it's not. It's not a wear-and-tear fracture, but a pressure fracture caused by misassembly.

If you can move the hips, and nothing is broken, then you're fine.

It seems like it’s been a long time since we’ve heard about any new BW MPs on the horizon. I hope they plan to continue the line until at least the season 1 cast is completed.

 

Unfortunately not. I feel like I can't hold my breath for the entire cast. I'd die a happy man if we AT LEAST got rhinox, rattrap, and terrorsaur
