Well I've messaged them on FB and posts on their wall... hopefully spark a fire as I see a few others have left a messages stating an interest . they could at least put the file up for 3d printing if they have no intention of making more lol.

I search a few times a week for all the upgrade kits I need

 

So, I found an upgrade kit on eBay. It's not the DNA, but it works... For the most part.

It just came in today. It's not as elegant as the DNA, and from what I can tell can't be used in vehicle mode, but it locked the shoulders and wrists well enough... The backpack attachment for the guns I couldn't get to fit tight, and it just hangs there, but I wasn't that hip for it... To begin with... Did ironhide have those extra guns?

That's cool. It's much more elegant than the DNA one. But is it sturdy? Is it cast plastic or 3D printed?

 

No, the DNA is definitely more elegant. I think the listing implies that it's 3D printed... BUT it's really clean... So I'm not certain if it is cast. But it's shoulder and wrists are sturdy...the wrists are a little tricky to install but once in it's solid...

 

Is it? This one looks thinner and less intrusive, and the guns seem to be straight unlike the DNA ones which plug in at a weird forward-facing angle.

 

I think so. The DNA can be used in vehicle mode and the guns plug into ports on the shoulder support and the wrist supports also stow on the guns, so it's more versatile and I think elegant as a result... Both could benefit from a of gloss coat
